  1. Loz is right and probably it's just the market not moving as fast as it was! I'm glad you've come to some decision - a young girl as a cash buyer sounds mad! Also mad on another sense that she wouldn't so a survey - a bit dodge making such a large investment. I make that comment in general not about your home Bellenden Belle! I hope you get the 50k off if you are looking to so that now and/or find a more perfect place for you :) It all happens for a reason, everything does :)
  2. I think you need to just do what is right for you. Has the buyer done any survey etc yet? If you are worried about what she has invested so far, I'd understand. I'd be the same. However, it's a big decision to leave your home and if prices are to fall, they will fall across the board I imagine. I'm thinking of selling, but know where I stand, that is, I know the net I need before it will be worth it for what I want to do next. Otherwise I will just stay put. I couldn't give up what I have, unless I was sure about my next step. I do hope it works out for you, and you may well be better off holding on to what you have - renting may leave you feeling in a state of limbo, if that makes sense. It was suggested to me that I sell and rent after here by a bank manager where I am thinking of moving to, but I couldn't get my head around that - I'd be left renting in London (costs money), purchasing a house to be left empty where I want to move to (potentially costing money too if it needed doing up)! Renting wouldn't feel right! It's all a personal choice and we all feel differently about different things!
  3. Thanks strawbs :) Is this where you go to the dentist? I see that they offer sedation, that sounds ace for my filling!
  4. Fabulous, thank you, so am right in thinking it's just a fancy while in the wall essentially :). Now to find someone to do the job for me :) Cheers again!
  5. It's seriously wrong and mistakes can happen anywhere or at any time - even if we look at our own jobs for instance, I'm sure we are not always perfect! I should hope that people see beyond negative reviews if they do appear to be "off". Some people really don't understand the expense involved in running a business, it's definitely not 9 to 5 either! After reading Rufflers post about sweetgirl, I had a look - I've never tried Cafe Noodle before, I will this week!!
  6. Sorry, I should have been clearer - the air vent is currently placed centre of the chimney breast / under the dado! Ill attach a picture that I've taken just now. The wall mounted fire would be placed the same position - therefore blocking the air vent where it is currently. Shouldn't the air vent be exposed? If so, can it be moved? Thank you :)
  7. Hello, I'm just wondering can an air vent in a chimney be moved? My place is a flat with no fireplace. I'd like to get a wall mounted electric fire (not sure if getting a gas one would be too much trouble with needing a flue etc).. I looked at the outside of the building earlier and where the air vent is in the flat, doesn't seem to be connected to anything on the exterior wall (again this may be something that you wouldn't expect anyway, I haven't a clue) :) So based on they can the air vent be repositioned to allow for an electric fire to be wall hung, otherwise the vent would be blocked. Thank you for any help
  8. Oh thank you - both of you! I'd really appreciate both! I reluctantly was googling sister practices of where my old dentist used to be. I would rather someone via recommendation! I actually need a dentist too, I'm ignoring a possible filling needed ;) Im a scaredy cat! :)
  9. Hello, my dentist has moved on and I'm looking to see if anyone here has a recommendation for a dr or dentist that does Botox injections? I've had one via my dermatologist, but the consultation fee alone was as expensive as the injections themselves :( Thank you for any help :)
  10. I reuse all my bags and like everyone says banning them won't really work. In Ireland, you pay for any bags you get from the likes of Tesco etc., 5 cents - if youve not brought your own. Other retailers use paper bags
  11. Oh I'm shocked and it was brave, no mind anything else, for you to step in like that. The poor little boys and it's scary about the other kids! I hope you're okay - it must have been scary even if you were the adult - I'd worry that I'd freeze in fright in a situation like that!
  12. There was a massive downpour of rain yesterday afternoon, with thunder, lightning and hailstones! Water gushed along the street where I am and the local Chinese had flooding. Where you are talking about may have been affected by the same :(
  13. From what I saw and didn't go up close, the truck also had a crane thing on it, and it was upright - although lying on it's side since the truck was!! The crane part was over the path and into the front of someone's home - but I don't know if it actually damaged the property! The bus stop sign was though from the truck. I didn't take another photo of the crane bit, I should have!!
  14. Oh I don't know about that, but if it was - eekk
  15. I saw this today and hopefully no-one was hurt at the bus stop or houses damaged - the truck had a crane type thing on it, which was lying sideways but in an upright position! Not sure how upright though! Hope the driver wasn't in it!!
  16. Hi - just an update on this in case anyone else will ever have the same issue. I rang HAH to get a permission letter for the airport to travel with the drug. And Geneie's experience was correct in this instance too, they offered and gave me a number to get a cool bag thingy. This was not what the nurse originally told me in terms of travelling, so if in doubt, ring HAH first and they will advise on cool bags if they are still supplying them. They also said that the providers/makers of the bags are reluctant to list their bags as suitable for Humira in case something goes wrong as it's so expensive.
  17. Harry - I hope you can keep your cat - try the advice on here first - neither of you should be separated because of another cat, it would be sad for you both!!
  18. I think it's the same people - but the nurse told me to buy the cool thingy (saying boots had them) and said they could provide a letter. I was thinking kings pharmacy might have one - but have still to contact them! Thank you too for your help. :)
  19. Sorry for the slow response and thanks so much for your help - I went under the weather again so was away from the laptop!! That's all so helpful and the lunch box idea is really good alternative/idea!!! Thank you!! Ill give Frio a call and see what they say - I just measured a pen and it's 6 1/2 inches long and just shy of an inch in diameter. Would that be the same as an insulin pen? Thank you so much again for your help!!
  20. Does anyone know or have experience of travelling with Humira pens? I've been looking online for a cool bag to travel with the pens (flight), but either there are bad reviews or the cool bags mention insulin specifically. I contacted a group specific to my condition about the cool bags, but they recommended a bag that keeps the pens at room temperature, which is wrong. I'd go for an insulin cool bag but I don't know the dimensions and I don't want to fork out a lot if money and it be wrong for instance. I've rang a few chemists locally and they don't stock the bags, and my nurse told me Boots had them, again no success there! So am hoping that someone here might have experience with humira :) Thank you!!!
  21. Sem came last night and did a fab eye lash tint, quick and utterly sting free (normally a problem for me)!! Thanks Sem :)
  22. Oh dulwich library is super convenient - that's perfect :) they are only flight tickets :) thank you again :)
  23. That's brilliant - thank you very much for your help - ill look up these places and hopefully get sorted :) thanks again :)
  24. Hi, my laptop battery has died so I can't connect to my printer. Is there somewhere locally that I can bring a memory stick to and then can have something printed? Thank you :)
  25. I moved to ED 4 years ago, after about 10 years in WD. You can't compare the two really, it depends on what you are looking for. ED has a lot more going on and more transport options, however WD has everything that you may need - if you love a place, you'll simply make things work for you. I loved living WD, was very happy there - but chose to buy here in the end. I'd not say no to moving back to WD either, if things had to change etc.. There is an excellent GP practice (well it was for me), Paxton Green Group Practice, if you happen to be in the catchment for it.
