Hi, I posted on Monday regarding scaffolding without providing any detail, in case the police would rather I didn't. Our scaffolding was stolen on Monday, in broad daylight, around midday/lunchtime, at the Forest Hill end of Underhill Road. Just in case anyone saw any scaffolders making a lot of noise, breaking things and removing scaffolding from a house?!? We were completely shocked and our scaffolder was quite upset naturally - they are expensive materials. We didn't have an alarm at the time, as we had been told that they are sensitive - but given what happened on Monday, I wish we had installed it from the beginning. Also, just make sure if your builders are not going to be around on any given day, that someone knows and is there to watch things. Apparently this isn't uncommon! If anyone has CCTV around the lower end of Underhill or the surrounding roads, we'd really appreciate if you could check Mondays footage for a scaffolding truck/van, two to three people - I don't have a colour of the truck - but they were up to no good around lunch time. They also caused damage to our property. If anyone has had scaffolding completed on Monday/Tuesday or even today, I am not saying you have stolen scaffolding, but if you are willing to allow our scaffolders to have a look around that would be amazing. They have driven around the area but no luck. They have the scaffolding tagged so its quite easily identifiable. Thanks for any help - and hopefully it helps you out with your building works!!

Can't believe the number of stories going about from them - I hung after another half hour waiting! They have special provisions for those who are disabled apparently - I forget what, but when it happened before they were super helpful, but not this time! Hopefully there will be something by morning :S

I didn't know that and given the amount of paperwork I had to send (which was as orderly as possible), it's definitely more then ?65's worth of time for the Home Office! The cost of the next step has lept up in cost from where it was about 6 or so years ago, I should have gone with it then!! It's done now, and I included stamped addressed envelope to return my passport as soon as they can - the rest of the stuff I amn't bothered about. Whatever their normal turnaround is, I expect many will be in the midst of applying now - so probably will be delays on this!!

I just posted everything today and it was a nightmare pulling it together as my qualifying period was 2001 to 2006, to prove absences I had to take a sensible approach as I don't hold the travel records now!! Anyway my form went to Durham, was it meant to be Liverpool? If anyone needs a basic hand with this, I'll try and help! Good luck :)

I cannot understand in any way, shape or form - how Boris got a role. He jumped ship after the result - whatever about Gove! I feel totally disheartened today. There appears no-one to look to, no continuity and just complete limbo!

Dulwich & W Norwood MP's response to referendum result
muffins78 replied to worldwiser's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm just copying / pasting my post in the lounge!! Hi, they've come back with a response to the second referendum petition. So, with that in mind, I think it's more important than ever to sign this, to show per constituency to our MPs that we are affected by this decision. If you haven't signed and feel our voices need to be heard in whichever step they take, please sign and it would be amazing to share - :) https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133540 -

I had my 'closest' friend send me a horrid message when she saw me posting the petition link online. I've not said a word against her views to vote leave, and nor did I engage in any negativity on Facebook etc., but it has been the one time I felt strongly to support something! I won't fall out with her over it, but it assisted on making a headache into migraine! I can't believe the division this referendum has caused (I will do my utmost not to create a divide in my life)! It's saddening, the whole thing. What I can't understand is how the main brexiters outside of London, somewhat may rely on the people in employment and companies in London to pay taxes etc - (I don't need write down the circular effect, do I?) - and now that government revenue may also be lost!! all we can do is keeping asking for the government to look at what's best for our country - like MPs who have changed camps, so can voters!!

Dulwich & W Norwood MP's response to referendum result

Is it worth demonstrating the constituency support for remain through the link I've put above? It shows how many in the area of signed this already. MPs are meant to act on both a local and national level, but they should put the position that supports the best interests forward and/or support them. Doing otherwise goes against the grain of why they were elected. It all sounds so easy, but it's not! :( -

Hi everyone, in case some of you don't go the lounge, we found this petition the other evening - whilst it wasn't exactly what we were looking for, it was close, with a view of acting as weight for MPs who wanted to demonstrate a case for remain. (Setting up a similar petition would have been rejected from the site) Since finding this, we've worked hard to increase the numbers from almost 500 to over 6000 now, and see it as a supporting one to the second referendum which is unlikely to happen. If you are of a similar feeling that the remain voters needs should be heard also, please sign and share where possible! Thank you https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/133540 -
We are half way towards the first milestone! I don't know how else to push this, except say it has been shared by hundreds at this point but does need more push, especially on the bigger pages! But all is great from where we picked up from - over 4500 signatures isn't bad!! Let's hope this continues :)

I think it's a few more than that :) I made a note this morning, it was 1821 at 10.43 when our link was shared! Then around your time it was 3131, and now we are heading to 3900. The link is still been shared, the protest organiser would like to get it to the 100k for debate, so let's hope he shares again. :)

Hi, just an update, we worked v hard to get to over 1800 by this morning, but in the last hour we had over 730 additional signatures - due to help from the person who organised the march yesterday in London :) If you can keep signing and sharing that would be fab :) This will just add weight for our MPs to know that some of us are unhappy with how things are panning out etc..
