I wish him well too - I hope like everyone else - that he gets through this soon. He hasn?t looked well and kept going... Just seen on Sky that they are saying there is a clap for boris tonight..apparently trending on twitter, not that I have an account to see etc.. -
I?ve just found this thread again in the lounge :) thank you for all your help on this. I?ve done the online firm, but not because I want the help, I don?t want Tesco to now disqualify me for delivery because the advice has changed. I know my health and I know I would be severely affected by the virus so therefore a burden on NHS. I?m happy to be self sufficient and I know not everyone has that luxury. I feel very very sad and sorry for those who won?t also get the support they need. Hopefully it will be temporary? Do you think if you are required to have both the flu and pneumonia jabs, you?d qualify? I?ve both on my medical records as requirements as a result of the meds I take etc..

Oh my, I know I worry about my little pets, and I know what you?ve shared is practical - but it?s reality is beyond anything I can bare. Thanks for sharing and I hope these will be never needed even if in place xx

Ernmm I skimmed the list above as I got stuck on one of the initial points. Every time I go to the GP I need to remind them I am immune suppressed, I don?t know how or if they actually track it. My prescriptions are dealt directly by the hospital and my medicine is delivered through one of their dispensers. So unless the GPs actually track this as well, is there a chance that people are missing from the list (data protection aside). Re data protection, I think in this time of need, there has to be flexibility and trust and I can only assume that wherever personal data is shared, it will be managed on a goodwill basis e.g. the data can not be used, must be destroyed, after this time has passed. For now, from my perspective, it is not an issue if it helps people etc and allows the supermarkets to mobilise. The alternative would be that individuals would need to prove their status/vulnerability, creating additional admin for supermarkets and potentially doctors, which is not really a productive use of time etc., in my opinion.

Great idea - I?d love to contribute! And double great if it helps a local business!! :)

Another way is via pet planet- I couldn?t get the royal canin I needed from zooplus - but yes they are good sites for pet food Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Have you tried the Zooplus website? Sorry if my point wasn?t clear, things don?t come out right in writing at times - basically she didn?t think that he shouldn?t be shopping during that particular hour dedicated to people of a certain age or vulnerable, and wasn?t going to say something to the effect that he shouldn?t be there. Today I was rightly there, but the shoppers didn?t think I might have a reason to be there, they assumed I was shopping and not going into isolation, they were livid. Like yourself, going forwards my parents have someone doing their shopping for them, I?m going to be doing it online with support from neighbours if really needed. savvygirl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > muffins78 said her mother "saw a young man in the > store and her first thought was about what > condition he possibly had which meant he was > vulnerable...". You were lucky - I definitely went to wrong store then! Over now and I hope they managed to get all their trolleys into their car :)
-
I went to Bell Green for 7 am, massive queues and it was not just over 70s and vulnerable- there were no checks to see that only these people got in. I brought evidence that I?d be going into isolation. It was carnage. I got so much abuse because those over 70 assumed I was ?okay? - one lady helped me squeeze through into the store - but I continued to get abuse throughout the store and even the checkout lady was rude. I explained I going into isolation too, she was okay then. But it was a stressful experience. I wouldn?t mind but I had a tiny basket - everyone else had trolleys (some multiple), multiple baskets etc. There was not a whole load there but it had more stock than I had seen before. I should point out, that one man was very very kind and came over to me and offered me his trolley (my basket was half full) - so there are kind people out there - but despite sainsburys trying to do a good thing, because it wasn?t managed, there was a very rude vibe and indeed rude people. Even my mother who had gone to something similar yesterday, saw a young man in the store and her first thought was about what condition he possibly had which meant he was vulnerable... So 12 weeks away from the world is about to begin, and there are absolutely fab people out there, but my last experience out and about was far from easy. I hope those in need, did get what they needed and can get what they need over the coming weeks... Take care everyone

So for those going into isolation this weekend, there is unlikely to be anything in DKH? Just wondering, I need to get a few bits for one of the last trips out - (I?m not stuck I can online shop for some things) - it will be surreal thinking ?i won?t see xyz for a number of months?. Guess we won?t take the simple things for granted...but on the most part, you can definitely also see how the community is trying to come together.. we are lucky!!
-
I was wondering about them too! I don?t drive and am gearing up to self isolate etc., so I didn?t know how I could help - e.g. drop a gesture of appreciation up to Kings - donate to something etc.? I can recommend Cook and there is a shop in west dulwich - I think that would really help them x

We had our buildings re-evaluation done as per the every three year requirement and the premium has gone up 12% - I?m thinking it?s too high. We have one policy for the whole block and always have done - we self manage also. The broker we use is Robert Nott and they have yet to let us down etc.. Other providers can easily be over ?1k or so more, for the same terms... I hope this helps

Yes so I?m in an at risk category - I?ve already had five courses of antibiotics in 2020 alone - I catch everything as my immune system is compromised. So whilst it may seem like an hysterical response - it?s definitely real for me - and I wish it were different. But I?m lucky compared to others too..
-
Yes it is - I think everyone is weary. For the couple of days I did venture to the office this week, I decided to leave a little early to avoid the worst of rush hour. People must have left a lot earlier than me, Canary Wharf was very quiet compared to normal. Hard thing is you can?t avoid it sometimes if you don?t drive. I?m not sure I?m comfortable with a taxi either (might be overthinking things) - I?m trying to reduce journeys and coordinate appointments and trying to walk if possible. Not always possible...
-
I wish they would too! Isolate whatever they can now! What seems to be happening in the US is worse though, between them not having the great healthcare available to them that we have! I?m worried about those people who can?t afford to be tested and what will happen to them and others as time goes on...

:) thank you - I feel so stupid for misunderstanding the hose aspect!!
-
I might have had it wrong. Being looking on YouTube. Is it that the 6m hose is attached to pressure washer to do the cleaning - and that a separate hose is connected to the water supply? Therefore I can use my normal hoses? If so, great, but spent hours looking things on today :)
-
Hi I?m hoping someone can help please? I?ve been looking at pressure cleaners for our garden - and it?s quite a big area, both back and front. The Karcher K4 seemed to hit the spec apart from the hose length which is only 6 meters. I can see you can get extension hoses but they are pricey, largest I could see was 20 m. Our back garden extends to 150 ft (it?s shared garden). I saw a karcher hose on a reel (25 m) which was less expensive, and the reviews ?only? said that it could be attached to a pressure cleaner - but the spec doesn?t confirm that (I don?t think so anyway). Do you think an ordinary garden hose could be connected? I?ve got two (one for front and back of building which are the correct size in terms of the reach I need with the cleaner)? They are not sturdy big hoses - given the length of the garden I had to get a lightweight ones - so I wasn?t carrying the weight all the time. Normally we get someone in to clean our paths and walls etc., but I?m happy to be hands on and see this as an investment - but at the same time don?t want to be spending lots of the other leaseholders money incorrectly/unwisely. Thanks for any help :)

Does anyone know anything about the new houses built on Dunstans Road, near forest hill road? They are built ages but it remains like a building site. Are they ever to go on the market?
-
I love them too - we get lots of visits - and they are so pretty and vibrant. Happily send them our way!!

I thought the same Bobbsy - I had originally thought they had put in an additional light or something similar. They are very very bright!!
