Not one but TWO separate families in the SAME week left their kid behind at Chuck-E-Cheese (td)
-
ianr - that 'Uncle Matthew' sounds a right old horror! netts - I love the way you say you'd 'love a tour of the place' but 'they are very private'. What family does tours then? Now that IS weird :))
-
thats truly horrific!!

I see. Got any ideas for a new name then or is that top-secret? Am I talking to the real quids here? ;-)

Well, I have a friend* whose boyfriend's sister scratches out the eyes on photographs of family members that have pissed her off in some way. And its not as if the photos are ripped up and then thrown away either, oh no ... they stay hanging up on the wall or in photo frames with the missing eyes :-S *its really not me

well done quids - i enjoy reading your posts. (not the football or poker ones though, just to be clear) what happens when you hit that magic 10,000 number? do you get a special e-card from the Administrator or what? :))

How does she manage to fit pizza boxes and Lambrusco bottles in there with all the empty cans of Spam that her neighbour chucks in there? Iceland deliver? Really? KATES :-S

A local character by the name of Michael Palaeologus does tours of East Dulwich I hear. Surprised he's not ventured onto this thread. (btw what are you waiting for, make the move to Peckham Rye - Peckham Rye Park is really lovely, I far prefer it to Dulwich Park. Have always felt far safer travelling back to Peckham Rye Station than East Dulwich station late at night. and never felt scared waiting for a bus late on Rye Lane either. Lots of lovely cafes and a nice new one on nearby Choumert Road and the Bellenden Road area has a fab bookshop and places to eat and drink). Don't forget Khan's bargain store - I bet there isn't one of those in Deptford :))

Jeremy's right the Skoda Octavia is a good option. I'm er, helping someone choose a car to replace their Ford Ranger which had the cat converter nicked as they're easy to get underneath, cost ?500 to fix damage alone and the thieving bastards will easily return once its replaced. So the VW Passat and Skoda Octavia are front runners so far, relatively economical to run and repair. Have seen a few VWs with lowish mileage for your budget. Good luck.

I don't have one but have heard good things about the VW Passat.

Blimey I aint going to a que at Nette's place, not if I have to wait for hours till the sausages have been rolling in the stock first :)) What do people think of being able to choose which pig you can eat? A German initiative to help people understand better where their food comes from by linking the pig with the sausage by putting pictures of them on packs of sausages for sale. PS nowhere beats Church's butchers in Epping for sausages. FACT.

If you have created duplicate threads and/or are posting new threads in the wrong section of the forum, they will be removed by the admin. Some sections of the forum have specific rules and tips for posting pinned at the top of their page and there's a Terms of use and Help/FAQ at the bottom of all pages too. Hope that helps. -
You could try asking Friends of Nunhead Cemetery or perhaps the local library may be able to help? Its an amazing place to visit.

Do you think of banking when you see her? If so, she probably is one.

Enough of this cliquey finger pointing wolf-spotting 'banter' please.

I've had vanilla vodka for breakfast before, swigged straight from the bottle. Was staying in a caravan with my younger brother in the Outer Hebrides at the time.

Whose idea was it to introduce those bucket sized (large) glasses of wine in pubs and bars around about the time the market was flooded with the (high alcohol content) New World wines. Well I blame them for when it became quantity over quality.
-
guess it will also discourage younger drinkers from getting their hands on (ridiculously cheap) supermarket booze if the price is increased dramatically so perhaps if people start drinking from an older, 'responsible' age there will be less impact on health/hospitals further down the line?

Anyway, who's to say that some others aren't just as enriched by their 'online life' as they are by their offline one too, eh ibilly?
