  1. we had a clear out of old CDs and videos a couple of weeks back - must have taken 100-150 CDs to St Christopher's on Lordship Lane - they said they would forward them on to the Penge store, which still sells them
  2. Ah cheers - hopefully contained to just Friern Road, looking at that map! 10 Feb completion date..
  3. Saw a yellow warning sign halfway down Friern Road when getting the P13 towards Lordship Lane this afternoon - something about diversions for 12 weeks from 5 November, but wasn't clear where exactly. Anyone know if this is new/where it might be perhaps?
  4. I did see somewhere saying (would have been either TFL or Citymapper) that the route was due to be disrupted until Wednesday, which would be a pain... Can't seem to find mention of it now, however
  5. All booking dates seem to have been taken off the Swift site now, for Tessa and Kings...
  6. If you have urgent tests they call you and get you to come into Kings - you don't need to book, its just walk in (and was a lot quieter than usual when I went in last week). Tessa Jowell are taking bookings from 2 July on Swiftqueue, when I checked a little while ago...
  7. How did you get on up there?
  8. Ha yes that was me in the Fantasy! Enjoy the Spurs experience tomorrow - I am a season ticket holder there but a fairly large chap so have tried to fine tune my trips there of late to involve less walking! I usually get the 185 to Vauxhall and then jump on the tube to seven sisters, then there are four diff buses (all ending in 9) that you can get from there straight to the ground, straight up the high road - although if you leave it too near kick off, they shut the road off (about two hours before) so you may have a bit of a walk (a lot do do the walk, but it is a good mile and a bit!). Would advise getting to seven sisters about three hours before ko if want to avoid the walk. Another option is get train to London Bridge and tube to Liverpool Street (or bus to liverpool street) then train straight to white hart lane. these will run right up to kick off but involve a bit more walking. https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2024/may/travel-information-for-fans-attending-the-investec-champions-cup-final/ this may help too
  9. Gutted to miss out on the title in the end and fall down to fourth at the last! Thanks for running it - took me a while to get to grips with the format but came on strong in final few months. Look forward to next season! JamesM
  10. There was one at snappy snaps I used about a year ago - very helpful and quick too
  11. You probably mean Jono's Pool Hall, in Camberwell? Got knocked down about 10 years ago and turned into a gym/flats
  12. Was told by a workman there that they are opening on 18 March
  13. pound shop opens in two weeks (18 March), I was told yesterday..

  18. I keep asking the police guys guarding the sealed off zone when I walk home from the station.. last Tuesday they reckoned it would be 'four days' ... last night he said two, three days, no more than a couple..

  22. What a stadium! lovely warm weather as well, if a few Spurs fans had a bit too much to drink... Poor result but memorable day out... was in fourth row of away end, we could see small pockets of Spurs fans all over the Bernabeu - magic!
  23. Got taxi in the end, ?58 but fairly quick (was fearing worst given the accident there the day before).. Came back to Stansted at 3am, not wanting to shell out for a taxi again I got a coach to Victoria (4am to 5.10) then bussed to Elephant and ED, got through front door at 6.15 - yikes long day... lucky was off work wednesday...
  24. taxi for ?58 went for in the end... not too bad a price from what I've been hearing not a big fan of bedding down... fairly large gentlemen like meself tend to struggle sitting on airport seats, let alone sleeping in them.. and taking clothes with me would mean having to drag them all round madrid *Anna27 - yes, madrid v spurs here I come!
