  2. has anyone sucessfully cleaned an aquadoodle. my daughters one is dirty and smells so it needs cleaning, i cant seem to find an answer online. any help would be great. thanks in advance
  3. i suffered terribly as a child my mum smothered my hair in tea tree oil shampoo that you can get in sainsburys to prevent them but swore blind none of the lotions work, so we would get covered in conditioner and nit comb them out. i have learnt that clean hair is not always a good thing. try not washing her hair as often as clean hair is what the nits go for.
  4. as a keyworker myself we are paid to look after the children, although a box of sweeets go down lovely they are not essential. a handmade card is nicer :)
  5. Right there with you ladies, I have a 14 month old girl that is in need of few hours of fun. Also I need grown up time. Keep the ideas going :) I have heard busy bees at the hornimans is good, unsure on timings but its on there website :)
  6. That's brilliant thank you, I did try copleston tuesday just gone and it was very busy, and everyone sat in groups, I didn't find it very welcoming. My daughter on the other hand loved it and slept well afterwards but she didn't leave my side like she has at other groups. Still on the look out for others though. Will try salvation army one though.
  7. thank you all. i am so desperate to get out of the house i will do anything. we popped up to albrighton today for bookstart but it was so busy it threw my little one out a little and she didnt seem to enjoy it :( was very dissapointed
  8. What are the timings for this please
  9. any groups on tomorrow, that are free and FUN. im desperate to find new things to do with my 14 month old girl.
  10. where is this one? and do they charge?
  11. are there any good baby groups for mum and baby, mines 14 months and is terribly bored indoors. we need to get out and with the autumn approaching fast i need places to take her. i regulary attend the albrighton on a monday afternoon for stay and play but i dont know of any others. anyone help??
  12. sounds daft but the vale pub have a play area for young children. worth a go :)
  13. i have had one since my little one was born and wouldnt be without. shes nearly a year old. keeps the stale smell of dirty nappies at bay :) in my opinion its worth it
  14. going to sound odd, but theres 2 for 1 on side of cereal boxes. i got mine from coco pops.
  15. you can give calprofen and calpol together (well 2 hours apart) my little one is 10 monthsand i have always done this. whilst there in pain give it to him. i always made sure calprofen was last dosage before bed.
  16. i worked in a nursery and found the younger the child the easier they took to it. obviously it depends on child and if they are ready but you could certainly introduce it and leave it to him to decide.
  17. swimming helps. my little one is now 10 months but i remember the back ache badly. at the later stage of my pregnancy it was boiling out side so i filled my pool and stayed in it all day. was such a comfort to my back. also helps with swelling to ankles.
  18. mine was the same as jollybaby. very straight forward. seemed more like a visit to health visitor as normal
  19. i worked in a nursery for 3 years so i refuse to pay someone to do my job. what you pay out for in childcare you might aswell stay home. my little one is now 10 months and i love being home with her. i see every little thing that she does, if she was at nursery i wouldnt see it. im her mummy so i will be exactly that :)
  20. i know that the albrighton community centre are doing a sponsored walk, could possible be linked to that :( although when they knocked on my door they had sponsorship form that i had to fill in
  21. i must add, IF these are the same people who burgled me 3 weeks ago now. they stole a very odd knife of my husbands who was in the army. they may well have kept this as a weapon. to penguin68: i know from experience how frightening this is to have someone in your home whilst your in it. i was awake with my 2 kids eating breakfast and they didnt care. they would of heard us as i have a 10 month old who is extremely vocal at that time of the morning. i am a nervous wreck because of this now. i wont leave my door unloked, i double check, triple check and still through the night i wake thinking ive heard something. it is very traumatic to go through this.
  22. your not the only one anapau i know it doesnt help :( theres been alot of it on our road, im down by the estate and 2 houses next to me have been done too :( scary stuff.
