  1. I have to say that i am a bit of a luddite and if i do sponsor anyone i prefer to just hand over the cash when their done. all this registering on-line and then making a donation is just too much hassle (yes i am afraid i am that busy and i choose to spend my on-line time surfing the net or reading this forum - selfish i know :) i also get annoyed if the person's chosen charity isnt one that i'm really bothered about and dont want to feel pressured into making a donation just because that person is my "friend/acquiantance".. p.s all the arguments about being skint i think are also valid - we are not all made of money....
  2. Your Song - Elton John
  3. fields of gold - sting
  4. did crackerjack has the crankies in it or am i thinking of something else? havent read this entire thread but i'd put in a punt for grange hill - you know when tucker and zamo were in it...
  5. ballerina girl - lionel richie
  6. what kind of activity were you thinking about PSG1?? i'm sure the lovely single ladies of ED outnumber the guys at least 2 to 1 (and are out in full force on the lane on a typical sat night)......
  7. Wherever Chaz wants to lay his hands is fine by me (oooh eer missus) as long as it stops Bill Turnbull being on my screen. that guy is cheesey, rubbish and really annoying since he thinks he's sooo funny.... bring back Dermot whatshisface.... at least he looked and sounded like a proper news presenter...
  8. Stop in the name of love - The Supremes
  9. Black Velvet - Alannah Myles
  10. working 9 to 5 - dolly parton.... except i work 9 - approx 6.30...geez......
  11. angel - massive attack
  12. Just an illusion - Imagination
  13. i would go for a steak place, a good mexican and like jeremy says a place that does good dim sum. what i dislike about ED is that we have 101 indian restaurants and a small bit of variety at the other end of the scale...
  14. i think i saw handbags on sale but wouldnt stake my life on it as i was on a bus at the time...
  15. i have been on the toptable deal too. food was an asian/western fushion - i thought it was pretty average. agree though that it was very quiet... not really a place with atmosphere but i guess i depends at what time you go...
  16. i always thought the food here was rather lame and over priced which was a pity because i think LL would really benefit from a good mexican. Agree with the point about the cocktails though. i hope they do reopen with a new chef - they would certainly get my custom.....
  17. ooh good stuff michele. I do like upstairs at EDT. how long is this offer open for?
  18. yep clearly the dulwich library end is the posh end of LL.... oh and they also offered you a free tea or coffee with the croissant ;-)
  19. I voted around 8am this morning at dulwich library. I agree with PGC and the issue of tampering with the box - the box i put my votes in had a lid nearly coming off and wasnt at all designed with any element of security in mind :) still the nice ladies at the library gave me a croissant on the way out (with a flyer about up coming events) so i cant really complain....
  20. Does anyone know how late they might be staying opening over these last few days? wouldnt mind popping after work for a look around....
  21. am happy to say that i know of no muggings either to family of friends that live in the area. Mind you i do come home late sometimes on the 40 bus and have had to put on my "rude girl" face on so it looks like i can handle myself if someone started on me (and there have been quite a few weirdos and groups of teenagers). But touch wood so far so good (p.s if you want to know what a rude girl face looks like imagine a vicky pollard face with attitude on a grown up (6))

  23. good luck Early Towers! i shall def pop in on sat (have to say that i still have not made it down to ED warehouse since it opened so this would be a good opportunity :)
  24. you can say that again Nero. What i should have made clear is that a number of 176's are stating its final destination is camberwell in the morning (and not oxford circus as usual). It has happened quite a few times now rather than this just being a one off.
  25. Does anyone know why the 176 bus has stopped going through to Waterloo in the morning? This has really messed with my journey to work. I have e-mailed Tfl customer services to complain at customerservices@tfl-buses.co.uk but don't know if they will bother to respond or if they are the best people to have a go at. Has anyone else been affected by this, if so do you know who it is best to complain to? Cheers
