  1. All ages at all times. It's the same all the time so you can go to any. It's for younger kids though. Must seem under 3 ish.
  2. Looks like warren Evans pocket sprung mattresses are the most popular. I will check them out this weekend hopefully. Thanks everyone.
  3. Ever since having a baby (2yrs ago) my mattress doesn't seem to be comfortable. I assume it's because my body has changed. I am a side sleeper. If I sleep on our much softer sofa it is far more comfy than my bed. Our mattress is from ikea, albeit the most expensive one they do. I would definitely invest in a new mattress if I thought it would improve my sleep but all the best mattress brands out there don't seem to have show rooms. Has anyone had this experience? Can anyone recommend a good mattress? I find memory foam uncomfortable (sweaty). We have a super king bed which means any mattress investment is very expensive and I don't want to spend thousands to end up witht the same result. I've tried about ten different Pillows and long support pillows. No good. Thanks guys.
  4. Hi, I've looked at EDTots, ED Mummy's etc but it isn't always clear what groups entail. I am looking for a soft play group for my son. We love bubbly bees and are looking for something similar to add to our routine. We are in ED and don't drive. Does anyone know of a non structured soft play environment in East Dulwich or Dulwich Village specifically? Does anyone know if Whippersnappers is free play or structured? Thanks
  5. A hot drink and small pack of biscuits included. You have to pay for usual cinema food. There's always queues which can be annoying with kids in tow so arrive early.
  6. I recently did some similar research. I wanted a short drive from the eurostar, to be beside a lake and to have activities for my boy. I found Le Lac d'Ailette. It's run by centre parcs. French centre parcs is very different than UK centre parcs. Not that I'm knocking either. It's a very short drive door to door. The accomodation on the lake is beautiful and there are fab kids facilities including a farm. It is also very reasonably priced.
  7. Thought I would do a quick poll out of nosiness as it seems to me many childrens classes seem to run at precisely when my child naps. So not suitable for us. I thought we were normal. My boy naps for 1-2hrs over lunch so 11-1ish. If you have a toddler (mine is 2) who is on one nap, may I ask what time it is at? I know not everyone keeps to a structured routine, but if you do I would love to know your hours.
  8. Rather than baby oil (petrochemical) you should use jojoba oil (natural) it is the closest oil available to the natural sebum your skin creates so it absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. Oil is actually good for oily skin. Ironically.
  9. Same. Have to use blackout blinds under our shutters.
  10. Like sjw I believe in the power of frankincense. I mix my own cream with jojoba oil and frankincense and myrhh. Non greasy, very moisturising and great for wrinkles. All in all more affordable than most creams. You need to use proper essential oil though to get the medicinal effects. I use nhr but neals yard are ok too.
  11. Southbank also have a miniature train riding up and down beside the river
  12. Anyone got a menu for Silk Road?
  13. What's your fave chinese meal? Looking for inspiration. :)
  14. Maybe instead get her the shower gel and body cream to match her favourite perfume. Lots of these around at good prices at xmas.
  15. Thanks joana, I understand it depends on the particular establishment. Let me word this another way. Has anyone been out in or walked past an eatery that looks particularly festive recently?
  16. Thanks everyone. I love all the places mentioned above and they are fab for breakfast. But I'm looking for somethng festive, Christmassy. Somewhere with a roaring fire, or tree or, I don't know, a theme? I'm not entirely sure what makes a place feel festive. Any more great ideas?
  17. I'm meeting a friend, probably in the West End on Monday at 9am for breakfast. I fancy doing something festive. Anyone have any ideas?
  18. Just a recap on the original post as a few posters seem to have strayed. yeknomyeknom Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm hoping to skip the - why should we tip them, > public servants, don't rate the service spiel and > get in the holiday spirit early. > > I like our bin men. 19. Hmmmmmmm. Good point! Hadn't even considered that.
  20. I'm hoping to skip the - why should we tip them, public servants, don't rate the service spiel and get in the holiday spirit early. I like our bin men. My son likes to look at their truck and they are friendly and efficient. I'm from Belfast and its traditional to tip there and I would like to do so here. Is this par for the course? What's the going rate? Do you give it to them in a card? Scrooges need not respond :)
  21. I agree with you Andricia. I expect a good few people do but don't want to incur the wrath so are keeping schtum. Andricia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

Here here!!! Keep these posts about the subject matter as quoted. Defer to the lounge if you want to wax lyrical.
