  1. Today Tesco online has lots of half price toys including some spy net gear and blocks which is a bit like Lego but for slightly younger.
  2. Jelly tots in Herne Hill is good.
  3. Thanks guys. Just what I needed. Went with a ?20 Ninjango from Amazon. Then ordered some Spy Gear and the Bear Grylls Book set for another ?20 for Xmas.
  4. I have a present to buy and am utterly clueless. Ideally ?20-30.
  5. So, if I wanted my child to start nursery in Sept 2016, do I need to be applying now?
  6. Hi all, So I suffer from stress and anxiety. I know all mums do, but I mean to an extent that it can impact on my decisions and relationships. This has been exacerbated since having a baby. It runs in my family. I'm not a big believer in medicating for this sort of thing or many things. I read about a natural aid called Magnolia Rhodiola Complex in a recent Grazia and then researched it further. I bought it from Victoria Health (it's not cheap). I just wanted to post here about it because over the last week it has really helped me. I've had to deal with some situations that would normally throw me over the edge but instead I felt OK about them. There was still stress, but I didn't mind it. Hard to explain really. It might be a coincidence, it might not last long, it might be placebo. But it seems to be working. So I just wanted to let any similar mums know in case you wanted to read up on it and try it for yourself. Fingers crossed.
  7. And Northern Ireland. It works really well.
  8. Topshop, super comfy.
  9. Oh no! Poor you. I just don't understand. You seem like such a gentleman. Your grammar and spelling indicate the brains that I bet is hidden behind a whole lot of brawn. Where is this common interest club of which you speak? I must rush there immediately to whisk away your virginity in the most non-whorish way possible.
  10. How lovely is this: http://www.gofundme.com/buddybenchforall
  11. Thanks so much to everyone who has voted so far. Sian's at the bottom of page 6 now if you can spare a moment to vote. Edited to update page.
  12. My sister is having a baby in two weeks so is having to focus all her money there at the moment. She would love to get married to her childhood sweetheart but it's just out of the question at the moment. They have entered a competition in Ireland to win a wedding. If any of you kind folk would consider voting for her, it would be much appreciated. Their names are Chris and Sian and they are near the top (kissing). This literally takes no more than five seconds, I kid you not. You don't have to sign up to anything, login or input your email, nothing. Just checked, she's at the top of page 4 now. Thanks in advance. http://a.pgtb.me/w465H9/jfTcR?w=38024758
  13. We stay at Hotel Puig in Deia Majorca. Deia is fab but better for couples with a bit of money to spend. The best place in Majorca in my opinion. More recently with a child we stay in Soller or Pollensa. Both equally lovely. We stayed in Villa Pascali in Pollensa which is owned by someone from East Dulwich who we found on this forum. Soller has a tram all the way to Palma which is handy and scenic.
  14. The Genius Cookbook from the guys at Food52 is amazing for recipes. Whole roasted cauliflower etc. food52 is the best recipe site out there. Check it out everyone. Exciting recipes, that can be simple and unique. No I don't work for them.
  15. Can anyone, recommend some? We are going on a flight soon so I'd like to invest in some over ear ones for my 2 yr old.
  16. This is great! Thanks for thinking Of us.
  17. A simple and quick meal I pull together is a tin of cooked lentils (Biona are fab)with beetroot and feta cheese. All have a long shelf life so handy to keep in the fridge. Delicious as a combo with a bit of homemade vinegarette on top.
  18. China
  19. It is not unfortunately. The hut closed and they didn't find a new location.
  20. Hi klh, I want you to know I'm not judging. I'm absolutely sure you have your child good and safe. I wasn't sure of the circumstances and the story I read was horrendous. This poor mum had a hook on the outside of the cot where it seemed totally fine. The baby had tried to climb out and its pjs snagged on the hook outside the cot. The article is here. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11825506/Ikea-cot-warning-after-14-month-old-girl-strangled-by-pyjamas-that-catch-on-hook.html
  21. Klh I wouldn't attach anything to cot bars. There was a recent article in the papers about a baby getting their sleep suit snagged and it didn't end well I'm afraid. I would highly recommend removing your gorilla claw if you use one.
  22. DMC CP keep sending me letters saying I am endangering my child by not immunising him and to contact them immediately. He is fully immunised. They clearly do not keep their records up to date. I have contacted them re this. But the letters keep coming.
  23. I have ran a broad search on all forums and all words for DMC and come up with nothing even though right now there is a post in ED Businesses titled DMC.
  24. So annoying. I feel for you. Our neighbours take a black cab (particularly noisy) to work every morning at 5.15 and it always wakes us with engine running and doors slamming. Even with double glazing (which we installed especially to cut the noise). Just life in the city. But very irritating.
  25. Thanks. Sonners, I love your ideas. My son gets upset if his cars get muddy or wet!!! But, you did inspire me. He sometimes watches a YouTube video where they have cars encased in playdough that they crack open. So I am trying that today.
