Wikipedia, Hal? Sorry, that won't cut it. You could have written it.

Let me put it another way then, it (running) counteracts the effects of Alcohol. -

Running is good, forces oxygen into the cranial cavity, makes for clearer thinking, slows mental retardation, fights dementia. Alcohol counteracts it. -

Yes, I'm sure it does but this tells me nothing plausible. 800 years they lived? And it was incestuous? So we're all, supposedly, derived from an incestuous relationship? Just a tad far fetched don't you think? I'm looking for something reasonable, not controversial. Sounds like the Talmud is basically a proof reader, dots the I's and crosses the T's.

Saudi Arabia to behead and crucify paedophile...

PeckhamRose Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If they behead him what's the point of also then > crucifying him? > They behead him, that's punishment and rightly so to my mind. They then crucify him, that's self gratification and the 'poke your tongue out' mentality. Right or wrong, who's to say, we don't live in their world. -
I'm all for the return of Capital and Corporal punishment. If, as some would say, it means a return to The Middle Ages then so be it. Not until the punishment fits the crime will we have some semblance of order in this country. Sometimes you have to take steps backward in order to make progress.

It's all NHS and my contributions cover that, certainly in part anyway. -

Unfortunately I need copies to give to my new specialist. Serious complications could arise without the absolutely correct information. I don't mind paying reasonable costs, even though I wonder where my NI contributions have been going all these years. This hospital is are trying to tear the a**e out of it though. -
Can anyone enlighten me? I read the bible, many years ago when I had time on my hands and it was the only book available to me! I had many questions afterwards, who wouldn't it's an extremely contradictory tome. I decided that I would give the book some credibility if I could find believable answers to my questions. I started with the first question that came up as I read, that was 30 years ago and I still haven't got the answer to that so I can't move on until I do. So, who was Cain's wife, what was her name and where on Earth did she come from?

Swine Flu jabs. Are you going to have one?
Y'man replied to PeckhamRose's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I've had the first of a two part Swine Flu jab this year and yes, it made me a little sick for a couple of days. It was like having one of those lingering, nuisance colds but just for a couple of days. Having the second dose next month. It's not too big a deal and if it helps beat the real thing I'm all for it. -

Having been under a National Health Service hospital for the past couple of years, I have recently decided to go private. I applied to the NHS for the records pertaining to my illness and the subsequent treatment thereof at the hands of the NHS. I was told that I would have to pay ?50 for copies of these records which amount to a few pieces of paper and the time it takes to copy them. My National Insurance contributions are up to date and have been for over 40 years. Until recently I have enjoyed good health my life through with very few visits to Doctors or dentists and no hospitalisations at all. shouldn?t I be entitled to these medical records free of charge? Any views? -

Well done that administrator. High time a stop was put to these sad, small minded, gossipy little people who have nothing to do except make up reasons why they must hate the world, and themselves. -

Jeremy, do you ever think before you interrupt. Whilst trying to make others look fools, what you actually do is establish your stupidity as fact? DUH! -

From The LFB- 26 June 2008 Fire crews were called to a fire at a flat on East Dulwich Road, Peckham in the early hours of this morning. The fire started in the lounge and is believed to have been caused by the careless disposal of a cigarette. There was heavy smoke logging throughout the building. There was no working smoke alarm in the property and the Brigade was called by a passerby. Crew manager Jon Page said: ?This highlights the importance of having a working smoke alarm. Had the passerby not called us then this incident could have been a lot worse.? A man was rescued from the bedroom by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. He was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews. London Fire Brigade offers free home fire safety visits and will come and visit your home to give you fire safety advice and fit a smoke alarm where needed. To book an appointment call 08000 28 44 28. The Brigade was called at 0137. Firefighters from Old Kent Road and Peckham fire stations were at the scene.
