My son enjoys Yogabugs at nursery, not sure where the nearest class is but they have a website...

I've been to 4 UK center parcs but always midweek so can't comment on what it's like at the weekend. Woburn is much smaller than the others with the facilities all close to each other in the center which makes it a bit easier to get about. I didn't even get on a bike although we had a house close to the centre. The pools are lovely, there's a baby/toddler pool and a pirate ship which my 4 yr old loved. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was there was no wildlife wandering about that we've enjoyed in the other parcs. For a weekend I would say Woburn or Elveden as they are closest. Enjoy!

Have you looked on notonthehighstreet.com? They have some books you can personalise or how about one of their personalised prints that you could have framed? -
I agree with you...need some space! I am going back here this year after a relaxing week with my then 3 year old last August. http://www.cosmos.co.uk/balearic-islands/menorca/santo-tomas/hamilton-court-apartments It's not luxurious but we had a 2 bed spacious apartment(slightly dated but had everything we needed)which was very clean. They are individually owned so the d?cor varies....my sister has also been and had a 3 bed apartment with roof terrace. There is a small children's pool next to the main pool, and just cross a footpath and you are on a large sandy beach. The resort is small and quiet so not much to do but you can get a local bus to Ciutadella with it's harbour or the capital Mahon. There is a nice promenade to walk on in the evenings and a couple of hotels with evening entertainment (mainly for children I think). We went self catering, there is a restaurant onsite which is ok, basic food but quite nicely done, and other nicer restaurants along the promenade. Good luck with finding somewhere!

I go to Gloss on Dartmouth Road in Forest Hill, lovely friendly guy runs it. I've had lots of pedis there by different people and all very good and thorough... ?22 and add on a mani I think it's ?30. Plenty of coffee shops for cake afterwards! Enjoy.

Thanks everyone! I will look at the suggested storage ideas and relax about it all getting mixed up :-)

My son is just getting into Lego and I'm wondering how you're meant to keep all the pieces from one kit together once it's been opened! If it all goes in one box how on earth do you remember what bits go together? I can envisage tantrums if I can't find the last miniscule piece to a batmobile and keen to avoid that! Any suggestions welcome, thanks!:-)

Recommendation for children's entertainer
slh2009 replied to jangle's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I can second that, we had him for a 4 yr old's party and he was great, immediately engaged with my son when he arrived and kept 30 kids laughing for 2 hours...even through tea :-) -

Oh that's a shame you didn't like St Dunstan's, did you look all around the school, they had a big art room ? I think you will love Kilmorie, the Head is an ex art teacher and they had a fabulous art room and lots of work on display. They seem to teach in a creative way too, very topic based. Oh and there's no uniform and they call the teachers by first names...not sure how I feel about that but have fingers crossed we get a place there! -

I've just done the rounds of schools in Forest Hill and Sydenham and for me Kilmorie had the nicest feel to it and was more creative than most of the others. Lovely head who I'm sure would be pleased to show you round. For private schools, St Dunstans is known to be very nurturing and also has a lovely atmosphere as you walk round. -
Too many unsolicited people ringing bell :(

If I answered the door I would just say that it wasn't a good time as I was feeding/bathing/putting to bed and shut the door before they had time to ask when would be a good time! -
Also look on notonthehighstreet.com for nice silver ones...

I spoke to Lewisham admissions today about this and they said scan it over weekend and that would be fine. They suggested council tax bil and child benefit letter or long version of birth certificate -
I have booked Mr Fruitcake for ?130 for 2 hours, he also does 1 hour for less. I haven't seen him yet but if you do a search on here he has some good reviews....

My almost 4 yr old is superhero obsessed despite never watching any of them on TV! I've bought him a basic Spiderman figure for his birthday. Toys R Us had a promotion on, not sure if they still do, had all types and sizes of figures.

Thanks for posting this. I couldn't read the whole article online so not sure if it mentioned that she is now also at Adamsrill in Sydenham, am hoping for similar success as this is one of our nearest schools :-)

We went to Fairfield Halls in Croydon last year, very funny and the same dame this year :-) -
I had a Zanussi one which was quite good and lasted several years so might be worth looking at them. Not as expensive as Bosch or Miele so you should get one for ?400

I've booked Mr Fruitcake for ?130 for 2 hours (special offer - ?100 for 1 hour). I haven't seen him so am taking a bit of a risk but he's had some good reviews on the forum.... -

Not Surrey or Kent but.... I've just come back from the new Center Parcs at Woburn and the spa was amazing! I also had a 2 hour treatment which was fab. They have a hotel attached to the spa but not sure what the accommodation is like. It took us about 2 hours to get there.
