  1. there's a notable lack of wilderbeest in e dulwich, though i'm gnu to the area and might not have found them yet.
  2. nothing makes me spring into action more than uppercase imperatives (snarky sarky aside, i am filling this out NOW)
  3. @Mark you're so last century #justjoshing
  4. thanks. and from now on, i want you to call me loretta.
  5. hmm...i'd be surprised if 'east dulwich forum' had been copywritten (is that a word?). still, lest i incur admin wrath, how about a nice and simple #edulwich or #eastdulwich instead? so to the twitterverse: if you're tweeting about local issues, observations, events, anything to do with e dulwich at all, please use hashtags above.
  6. good thinking, though there appears to be some sort of french power company who's already snaffled that hashtag. shall we split the difference and say #edulwichforum? i'm inglethorpe, btw.
  7. Hello all. any Twitter users out there? If so, I'd like to propose the #eastdulwichforum tag for all local news, info, event-based tweets etc. cheers
  8. With today's announcement that y.o.y CPI exceeded analyst estimates, I would disagree with the statement that rates will stay <1% for the next 4 years. Our economy has had a massive injection of liquidity via quantitative easing. The reason inflation has not increased already is largely due to continuing problems in the credit markets (for eg the acvailablility of credit for homebuyers) and subdued consumer confidence. I would agree that there's little wiggle room for the BOE until at least mid 2010, but I'm expecting rate hikes in the 3rd quarter next year. I believe it will take this long for credit to become unstuck and for the mortgage-market landgrab to establish itself amongst the banks (..and before i'm accused of talking my book, I've just got a new mortgage..discount tracker..so I'm actually short Cpi)
