I don't think anyone's hiding. I'm sure Mark's public involvement in the forum, willingess to answer PMs and speed with which he can get to the bar to buy beer negate the fact that he didn't want his address posted on the internet. SE22 forum looks like it could be healthy competition. All the better for both forums I guess. It'll never succeed unless it offers something different though. Charlie
  2. What exactly is West Dulwich? Can someone please tell me? Charlie

I'm sure it's fine to publicise website owners: http://www.who.is/whois-uk/ip-address/eastdulwichforum.co.uk/ Charlie
  4. It's nice. Run by Peruvians. Friendly staff and the food is good without being outstanding. Generally busy which is good because I hate empty restaurants. When we lived in Peckham Rye it was a staple for us. Good spot. Charlie

  6. And Brian is very dark. I keep adjusting the contrast on the flat screen when he's in the diary room. He's also very sweet, very naive and very funny. He could win. But I think it'll be Liam. Charlie

    Great Gigs

I loved Kraftwerk at Brixton and I recently saw OMD playing their classics at the Dome. But then I am an anorak so this sort of boyish electronic music is right up my alley. TBH I haven't really moved on from the big raves of 1991. Charlie
  8. Sorry. Wrong post. Wrong forum. Charlie
  9. I'm loving this series. I've been properly hooked from the start. And generally I HATE it. This year's misfits have been compelling but they are so awful I don't know why I find it interesting. Thank god that Tracey went on Friday. She looks too much like Dennis Pennis to me: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/images/400/anyoneforpennis_1.jpg Looking forward to the last week. I'm sure Liam will win. Charlie
  10. And talking of BB I'm just switching on C4+1 for the eviction. I'm too busy sniffing round Old Street and Soho, whenever the wife lets me. I would be tempted by a touch of the rainbow at the Rye but if I come, I'm just visiting. Charlie
  12. I'm middle class. But I do like swearing. So no, I am not the bird off Big Brother (Which by the way I have been watching obsessively for what seems like forever) but I have similar traits. I hate it and love it at the same time. It's horrible and strangely compelling. Charlie

No lie. Charlie
  14. What's even worse is that I find it funny. Where actually it's just incredibly sick. And funny. And sick at the same time. Charlie
  15. Seagulling is when you have a wank, collect the fluid in your hand and then run out into the playground to slap it into the face of some poor unfortunate fellow pupil while yelling "Seagull!!". Not something I've ever done, but then I'm 36! Charlie
  16. As long as nobody's seagulling down Lordship Lane then we're all safe. This is a playground prank that, if it takes off, could be an unpleasant health hazard. Charlie
  17. This is a thread about the increasing cosmopolitanisation of Lordship Lane. Not a thread about the fact that someone saw a couple of gay men openly being gay. And my post was a toungue in cheek joke. Charlie

Residents associations ought to belong online in this day and age. Charlie
  19. 1.30am down the fresh meat aisle in Sainsbury's. Woopsies central. Not seen them out and about on Lordship Lane for some time. I bet they're a bit disappointed to be spotted near somewhere so lacking in glamour. In all seriousness I know loads. And they're all local. Most I know wouldn't hold hands. Too busy driving round in the Saab, the Porsche or the BMW. Charlie

I'm not 100% sure I buy the hard work and dedication angle, but to be fair Osbourne Stewart got me ?17k more than I expected. Charlie
  21. I have a bootleg set of DVDs of series 1 of the Wire, and a bootleg set of series 2 of the Wire. They are now spare as I have just been to Amazon to buy originals. Does anybody want them? I want shoeboxes. I am currently organising my shoes. If you would like a DVD set, please offer me some shoeboxes or something else of nominal value. Why is it so bloody hard to find shoeboxes? Charlie
  22. The best thing ever (not) on TV. By a country mile. But also one of the most inaccessible TV series if you are a casual viewer joining mid-way through the series. Series three: ()*&%&(^%(&*%^ (* (*&% (&* (^ )*& ^*)^ )*&^ *)& )*^& )$*&^ )$&*^ $*)& )&* *)$ )*&$ ^)*$ ^)*$% )*$ Series four: )*&$^_?_&*(?_(?^&??^*(_^*(_?^*_? _?^& _(?^ ?_*(& ^?_*^ ?_ Damn it! I have just gone to Amazon and ordered series 1,2,3 to replace my knock off copies. Charlie

I think setting up the other forum is a bit pointless. Like Amazon's auctions in the wake of Ebay. It adds nothing. However it is interesting that there is competition out there and that alone is a nice reason to try to make this site even better. Charlie

Having been a funk DJ in a previous life I am also a music anorak and snob. However my Hoxwich tendencies now are towards super trendy and very annoying forms of music. Hot: Daft Punk's very boring but pretty film, italo disco (still!), Kitsune, Simian, DFA (almost), Girls Aloud, M.A.N.D.Y. Not hot: Bands, house, R&B, most other things. I'll get my coat. Charlie
  25. No, they are perfect. But you'd have to use a media player or hook your laptop to your 50" screen. I watch on a widescreen Dell media laptop and they look cool. No loss of quality. They are just recorded onto hard drive recorders from the TV in the US then shared. Charlie
