  1. Good morning! Just posting on the off-chance anyone has any free planters/troughs (raised or otherwise) with plenty of life in them for a school project in Croydon? I could collect locally. Also thinking about making a small wildlife pond there and would love a free old Belfast sink if anyone knows where I can get one, but I know that’s a big ask! Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi Sue. Thanks! In the end, he was found near Bawdale Rd but he’d only been around there for a few days apparently so I’m not sure where he’d been before then. I wish he could tell us! 😁 Thank you! They definitely put us through it! Yes, he’s had the once over at the vets and he’s grounded for the foreseeable! 😊
  3. FOUND! I’m absolutely delighted to say that, after nearly two months, Rexy has been found and is now safely back home. He’s a bit skinny and tired but otherwise seems well. Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out, reached out or messaged with potential leads. And of course, to the wonderful couple who managed to gain his trust and messaged us. We are over the moon and he is enjoying some hearty meals and home comforts to start his recovery! Thank you all again. 🤗
  4. Thanks so much for your reply. I will take your advice. I did some door to door calling today but no luck so far. I’ll update here if we find him but grateful for anyone keeping an eye out.
  5. My lovely tuxedo cat, Rexy, has been missing since Wednesday which is very out of character. Rodwell Road area, SE22. He is a rescue cat so really quite timid with people he doesn’t know. If you spot him, could you please contact me? Many thanks. He is chipped and neutered. Photos attached.
  6. Just found a debit/credit card in Goose Green playground. Surname Adshead. Let me know if it’s yours.
  7. Recommending Billy as he has just been round to carry out our annual boiler check (required for boiler warranty and advised by Gas Safe despite lockdown). Due to the coronavirus lockdown, he ensured he followed government guidelines. He made sure that he kept to the social distancing rules, kept well back for me to open the door to let him in, he was wearing gloves, a mask and he wiped down all surfaces that he had touched before leaving. I should add that he also installed the new boiler for us last year and we were very happy with the results of that too. Polite, conscientious and tidy.
  8. I?d really recommend Paul at SIDS in Brockley (in the showroom, over the road from the plumbing supplies store with the same name) for supply. He was so helpful and had knowledge of loads of products from different brands. I took a basic drawing of what we needed and he helped me source the lot and was happy to do a deal or two!
  9. Email all poor experiences to MP Helen Hayes. She raises issues with Royal Mail and is campaigning for an improved service for SE22. I imagine all ?evidence? helps. Helen.hayes.mp@parliament.uk
  10. Just a thought, it might be worth checking to see if your newborn has a tongue-tie. It?s very common but also very commonly missed. It was several years ago now but we saw this lady... http://katherinefisher.co.uk/the-london-tongue-tie-clinic/ . They also used to have a tongue-tie clinic at Kings and some of the drop-in breastfeeding cafes might help too. Good luck!
  11. Big Sainsbury's in Sydenham. You might want to click and collect just to make sure.
  12. We have had a lovely letter addressed to a child called Erin F. (I know the surname but won't post it here) which has been sent to our address by mistake. There was no return address on it. If anyone happens to know who the recipient is, please PM me and I'll forward it on. Thanks.
  13. From what I've been told, all letters confirming places were sent out last week. I'm not sure about their criteria for giving places, allocating sessions or what their waiting list is like though. Maybe try checking with the schools again just to confirm this? Hope you get a place sorted somewhere soon.
  14. Thanks for your message. I have contacted the school today and any swap would have to be done officially through them. I just posted on the off-chance that someone was unhappy or not bothered about having mornings and wouldn't mind swapping sessions with me - or perhaps didn't know they could do anything about it. I would do it all above board and have my fingers crossed!
  15. We have a place at Heber nursery for the afternoon sessions starting in September 2012. Unfortunately afternoons are difficult for us. If anyone has a place in the mornings but would prefer afternoons, could you please PM me and I'll speak to the school. Many thanks. Katie
