  1. offered free. pair of standard Topiary trees (salix flamingo) that are presently in pots outsides the front of my house. Very good size being 67 inches including the pot. They are just starting to get leaves on them and are beautiful when they bloom being green leaves with pink leaves. You will need to lift and remove them out of the pots because I need to keep the pots for the new trees I am going to put in them. Unfortunately I would keep them but my garden has no room for them. If you want to look at them you can drive by my house at 155c Upland Road SE22 0DF. Kind regards Please pm me if you need to contact me
  2. I have sent you a private message Thank you. Linda

  5. I always thought cash was king. It will be a sad day when you cannot pay for your purchases by cash and have to pay by card. The banks are doing all they can to frustrate us. I was in Santander in Peckham a few days ago and noticed they have reduced their counters down to two, leading to a mass of angry people waiting nearly an hour to be served. I am not happy the way we are being forced by banks to do what we don't want to do, after all we are the customers and we should have a choice.
  6. It must be very common for plants to be stolen all around East Dulwich. I live in Upland Road and had two topiary plants stolen in their tubs. They were very heavy so it must have been a two person job. I was shocked but have since found out that this is common. I now chain up my plant pots at the front of the house and buy cheap less showy plants. I also chain up my hanging baskets. So sad that people will steal our lovely plants that we are trying to make our area look nice,
  7. its 1pm and there is still no water on Upland Road. No water since yesterday.
  8. I have been waiting for more than two weeks for two parcels. What is the problem?
  9. I am yet another person who can ring out but cannot receive any calls. I am with aol. I contacted them yesterday and today and there was a message to say they are working on the problem but give no indication when it will be reolved.
  10. He came to Upland Road yesterday too, he wanted pre paid money to clean my windows on the following day. I of course refused and surprise surprise no sign of him today.
  11. Thanks. I will get on to them.
  12. I will do what you advise. Thanks
  13. I was in Peckham today waiting for the P13 bus in Blenheim Grove just by the railway station when I noticed lots of bits of hair blowing around in the road, possibly from one of the two hairdressers nearby. To my horror there were lots of pigeons with their feet all snarled up with this hair around there ankles which they were unable to get free of. One poor bird was dragging around what looked like a hair piece. As soon as I got home I got onto the RSPCA. I know they do great work but I found it was impossible speak to someone, anyway 2 hours later I left them a message on their website. I will keep an open mind, but lets see if they contact me for the full information they need to investigate this matter and help the birds as well as speaking to the hairdressers. If anyone has any ideas where I could get help for the poor birds I would be most grateful. Thank you for reading this post Linda
  14. Sorry to report another crime which took place in Upland Road on Sunday 17th of April about 9.45pm I opened my front door to let the cat out. There was an overwhelming smell of petrol fumes. After about 5 minutes the smell of petrol fumes has completely gone. Yesterday my husband took the car out only to find there was no petrol in the tank. He just made it to the petrol station, filled up with petrol and then took the car to the mechanic to have the car checked over. Only to find that the place you put petrol in had been forced open and broken, probably by using a screw driver. All the petrol had clearly been siphoned out of the car. How bold the thief was, the car was parked in an open driveway with plenty of bright lighting. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else in the area? Linda
