  2. Quite a sspeculative post there - indeed, who knows. Maybe nothing?

I'd happily sort this out for them, for a fee..

Otherwise a good enough boozer. It contains 'Wacky Warehouse' levels of children though - not everyone is a fan of such things.

With my mates. I like a good range of interesting beers, mabye 1-2 lagers, simple but good food, and Northern Soul on the jukebox. Original etched glass / snob screens non-essential. The Gowlett is nearly there, except for the posse of kids running around with plastic hammers while their parents didn't so much as bat an eyelid that greeted me last time I was in.
  6. Yeah, real ales are a bit underserved around here. Gowlett has a good selection, but I don't know about the atmosphere. Bree Louise is fantastic, as is The Lamb on Lamb's Conduit St.

Or are we already questioning all 'youths in hoods' within a 5-mile radius?

Those damn beauracrats in Brussels won't allow them to work 24-hr shifts unfortunately, so they down tools at a respectable time, the lazy Bolsheviks.

The Mott the Hoople guy? I would, though I'd feel a pseud for doing so - I only really know 'All the Young Dudes'..!

  14. Foxtrot is all you need, they went downhill after that.

  16. Gimme Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > and open > something that people actually want! I think you're confused - anyone can open a shop, usually after a feasibility study --- if a fast-food store opens it's usually because someone's deemed it feasible that it might do well. I don't think 'it fits in with someone off the internet's aspirational posts on a forum' is considered that often.

  22. Go out in Dalston and just stay up all night. Go for breakfast in ED on your way home. If there was a club in ED there'd be loads of theads somewhere in the archive moaning about it.

  24. If you get the 37 to Brixton and visit the Dogstar I hear the DJs there are incredible *cough* and it's open til 4am. ED - Liquorish / Adventure Bar have some kind of DJ on at weekends, depends what your 'thing' is really. Both get very packed and aren't really what I'd call 'nightclubs'.
