  1. Congratulations to anyone who is expecting a new baby in the winter months. This thread is for you to use through pregnancy and beyond. It's your thread, use it as you wish, but please, no advertising.
  2. Please note that I have removed names from some previous posts - please refrain from naming/identifying individual staff members. Thank you.
  3. I've removed a couple of posts in the last hour (not the one with replies, that must have been another moderator). Every time I look, there is a new, identical thread started, and as Straferjack points out, the original thread is in the business section where it belongs. Just as irritating as the kitchen spam and "why do people in their 20s not join social groups" nonsense.
  4. Your thank you message doubled as an advertisement and does not belong in the discussion area.
  5. Please refrain from posting potentially libellous comments on this thread. Personal comments about the steering committee, relating to race, age, "class", and financial situations are not acceptable and will be removed. Many thanks.
  6. Please use this thread to discuss all things pregnancy and baby if you're expecting an autumn baby. No advertising, thank you.
  7. I'll set one up now. There's not a winter babies thread for the end of this year set up, I don't think there will be many conceived yet! You may be confused by the one that covered up to Feb?
  8. If you're expecting a baby in the summer, this is your thread. Feel free to use it as you see fit, but please, no advertising. Regards FRM
  9. Please stay on topic. Happy Gardener, you are welcome to ask that question, but please do so in a separate thread. Many thanks.
  10. Congratulations to those of you expecting spring babies. This is your thread, use it as you please. FRM
  11. I have hidden responses to this thread, and am locking it now - LocalTeacher, perhaps it is a good idea to be a little more careful about what you post, or certainly the way in which you word it.
  12. Expecting a baby in the summer? Then this thread is for you. Please use it as you see fit, but no business advertising please. Congratulations to you all, wishing you happy and healthy pregnancies. FRM
  13. I have made this post "sticky" so that as many people as possible will see it, lack of local school places is an issue for a lot of parents. Thanks James for bringing this to my attention.
  14. Please, ladies (and gents?), try to stick to the topic raised by the original poster and do not turn this into a breastfeeding vs. bottle feeding discussion. If you wish to debate the subject please feel free to start a separate thread. Many thanks FRM
  15. Congratulations to everyone expecting a Spring baby. Here is your thread, use it to discuss anything you like, and to meet other parents due around the same time as you. FRM
  16. ...and no, I don't drive a Range Rover down the middle of the road, but seem to encounter many that do.
  17. It wasn't me that moved it either. You are best to report the message Panda Boy, rather than email Admin, as that way all the moderators will see it.
  18. Untamed stylist, I sent you a PM yesterday responding to one of your other posts moaning about the unfairness of Admin, and explained why one of your recent posts had been removed by myself. You didn't respond, and then posted again. How about reading the rules for posting (in the business section, where your posts belong, should you meet the criteria for posting there), and stop all the unpleasant sniping?
  19. Reporting spam is useful Siduhe, so please continue to do that, especially as the forum seems to fall foul of it on a very regular basis. Gidget, what Moos and El Pibe says isn't wrong, and this is explained by Admin. What we don't really need is to be told every time someone posts more than one advertisement in the for sale section. These get noticed, and when necessary removed/the poster emailed.
  20. It hasn't been deleted, just moved to the "About the Forum" section where it should be. Thanks
  21. Twirly, I can't see anything by you that's been removed in the last month? Might it have been moved to a different section? Stacey-lyn, a couple of your messages were hidden today purely because they were in response to messages which had to be removed. Not a personal thing, just that if they had been left they wouldn't have made sense without the context of the message which came before it. Maxamydus, from what I can see it's due to you posting the same advertisements more than once. If something you have previously listed is still available you should say so on the original thread rather than start a new one. Thanks
  22. I know I should delete this, but it's Friday and it made me giggle. Other mods, feel free to get rid if you want. Now where is this rite of road upon which peach hair is bred?
  23. I can see where perhaps this would be beneficial, but it's just not going to happen. From an administrative point of view a lot of time is already spent moving things to the right place (across the whole forum, as well as in the family areas) it would add another level to what is already quite a frustrating task.
  24. It feels like just yesterday I was setting this thread up for the last batch of Winter babies! Congratulations to all who are expecting little bundles of joy in the winter. This is your thread, use it as you see fit. I try not to moderate the baby club threads too closely, the only thing that's really frowned upon is if businesses start using them to sell their wares to unsuspecting pregnant ladies, so please do report any messages you don't think should be here! Wishing you all very happy and healthy pregnancies. FRM
  25. I don't recall ever seeing your East Dulwich trading address stated, check out the rules of posting in the business section and if you meet the criteria for advertising by all means do so. There aren't always moderators online so sometimes advertisements that shouldn't be there slip through, but generally there are periodic checks done to pick them up.
