  1. Thanks for the clarification - and pleased it wasn't just me being slow!
  2. Hi- I am probably being stupid - but I am confused by the e-admission forms for 2014 primary school applications. Do you need to attach proof of address / DOB etc for southwark applications. It's not entirely clear to me and I'm very keen not to miss anything off and void my application! thanks
  3. Unlike most of the people commenting here - I live in the zone. I delighted that I am going to be able to actually park near my house.... The idea that the problem is not caused by commuters is ludicrous - finding a space on a weekend is not a problem. Most complaints seem to be by people outside the zone who are concerned that their parking / commuting is more important than the quality of life for those who actually live near the station. You could easily cycle/walk take a bus... I challenge you to unload shopping with buggies and children then have to walk to your door from 3 streets away.
  4. Sorry to hear what happened this sort of thing is just opportunistic - but difficult to live your life in a paranoid state just because you may have the misfortune to run in to one of these idiots. I think the boys on bikes stealing iPhones have moved over to the park near sainsburys too. On Sunday I was walking through the park with my phone out and frankly not paying much attention when a boy on a bike (16 or so / White) tried to grab it out of my hand. He didnt get it and the just sat there on his bike and said it was 'just a joke' when I shouted very loudly 'what are you doing. He then rode off after his friend. Take care out there.
  5. They have just been on derwent grove and after I politely declined he called me a 'cxxt' over his shoulder - I foolishly shouted after him that it was completely unnecessary to be so rude. Just hoping I don't get a brick through my window now. Actually quite shaken up as on my own tonight. I have bought things in the past so all the more annoying to be abused..
  6. Bels123 has got it spot on. I live on Derwent Grove and all our neighbours want controlled parking. With so many houses being converted in flats the number of cars just keeps rising. You are more likely to find a unicorn walking down LL than a parking space during the day. It would also be better for the shops on Grove Vale - with customers actually being able to park somewhere. I don't see a downside (except for a few commuters)
  7. Yes - one disappeared from our shed in derwent grove. At first we thought we had managed to leave it unlocked but reading these posts I am now thinking it was stolen.... Can these people slip door bolts easily? Am now thinking we need a v sturdy pad lock on the door in addition.
