Found Cat SE15: update -Owner located!

7am was as busy as 2pm on a normal Saturday, shelves were empty, looks like they failed to stock up, staff still doing online deliveries packing. Trays of meat stacked up not in fridges was my biggest concern. Ocado are not accepting new customers and are only delivering to existing customers and slots are booked up more than 7 days in advance. Talking to the owner of a little corner shop yesterday and he said the cash and carrys are limiting the number of some items that you can buy even if your a business. Crazy times

Spotted 5 cabs with yellow stickers on today. Date on one Sticker was 8th Jan giving 5 days notice to move. Whilst on way up North Cross I saw one being jump started by another cab. So it looks like the owner has got the message.

It?s quiet clearly a money making exercise and not to do with environmental impact as I don?t recall seeing any electric charging points or bays unless I missed them. Also I wonder if the council have considered the costs of implementing this and maintaining and monitoring the CPZ and the new seating areas. Also what about those with mobility issues that rely upon their car. As I have first hand experience that unless your on disability benefits it?s really difficult to get a blue badge and parking space unless you have noticeable disabilities ie. limbs missing.

We are also still awaiting our final bill from 2016. I had so many issues with saltash, but got their attention pretty quickly when I emailed Southwark council CEO and cc?d in Helen Hayes together with saltash contact and any council contacts we had met along the way. 3 lots of scaffolding on same area where pointing was missed, I?ve really put them through the ringer, not let them get away with anything, workmanship is shoddy to say the least. I?m paying on DD so I?m not yet at a point that I have paid them more than I assume the work should have cost.

Male black and white unneutered cat found
breadcrum45 replied to breadcrum45's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
The problem with this cat (riley) is he doesn?t know how to respond to other cats, his first reaction is to bite the other cats neck, he is gentil and my cat is OK with him, but the ginger cat is not. Seen a huge fight with them recently. The ginger cat doesn?t seem to bother with my cat, so I guess it?s a male dominance thing. My cat has been neutered and is very good with others. If he was neutered. He isn?t even sure how to react to humans he?s very jumpy when stroked but will let you pick him up without a struggle. Could you not speak to owner about neutering him? Is his owner elderly or need support then Celia Hammond should be able to help. -
Male black and white unneutered cat found
breadcrum45 replied to breadcrum45's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
Hi yes that?s him. It?s definitely a boy. He won?t accept any dried food, didn?t turn his nose up at steak the other day. He hangs around acre drive with my cat that looks very similar to him and a big fluffy tabby. We don?t see as much of him as we used to and it?s usually early mornings or early evenings. Haven?t been able to take him for a chip check and I assume he is a stray. If I do see him when the vets are open I will grab him and take him to the vets. Very friendly and eager to get indoors until be cones face to face with my female cat as she hates other cats. -

Black and White unneutered male cat found

He had vacated my doorstep when I went to check on him. So I left a cat box out covered with a carpet incase he came back. I?ve seen him loads in the last few weeks as he plays with my cat but he?s only just started trying to come in. Will keep my eye out for him and see if I can get close enough to grab him. Was hoping he was a lost cat rather than a stray. -
Black and white male probably only a year or 2 old. Keeps hanging around and now won?t leave. Can?t let him in as I have cats of my own and am not able to get him to vets to check for chip. Been hanging around acre drive for a few weeks. He seems very stressed and is vocal with really long whiskers. He seems lost or stray. Do you know who he belongs to? It?s very cold out and I?m worried about him.

Snow! How are the buses and trains?
breadcrum45 replied to klove's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Buses are fine today, looks like the council were better prepared today. Roads are still slippy so buses are slower than usual but they are going up and down dog kennel hill -
Beeping in Crystal Palace Road
breadcrum45 replied to lilaccruiser's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Is there a fox deterrent near where you are? Have a look in the gardens as these bleep at high frequency. We had to turn our neighbours one off and they are none the wiser. Different Frequencies effects different people of different ages. -
There was another incident 7th Jan 2018 this time much closer to home. Peckham SE15 2 I can't figure out how no one appears to see anything. Please keep cats in and eyes peeled. Info from SNARLs Facebook page

Now sorted. Help needed urgently to get frightened fox cub out of house
breadcrum45 replied to Sue's topic in The Lounge
Try calling these they may know who can help http://snarl.org.uk/contact/ -
It appears that the cats are being returned to the area that they have been taken from. Does any one know if the rod well road cat was reported to snarl as its not appearing on their list of reported cases. There was also rumours about a cat in Peckham a few weeks ago but that's not on the list either. If you know anyone that has found any animal that has suffered what looks like a knife injury you are urged to call snarl on 07957 830 490 even if it is historic, they are working with the police on this, any shred of info is very important to this case.

As an owner of 3 cats, I worry. The point of this thread is not to scare people, but to raise awareness, a lot of people haven't heard about the regularity of these killings, people need to tell people in order to spread the word. SNARL are monitoring and investigating a lot of reports on a daily basis, there is obviously a trait that is happening and or something specific with the finding of the bodies that they are not reporting for obvious reasons. We need to work as a community to a make people aware and keep cats in at night (when most cats have gone missing) and we also need to raise awareness that we could help find this person by being vigilant and look at people acting suspiciously around animals. This is a really serious issue and is being dealt with by SNARL, RSPCA and the police, I don't really want to say that this person/ group of people may get to the stage when animal killings are not enough. Should you find an animal or animal parts please contact RSPCA as a matter of urgency, they will advise what to do.

I was just about to say the same thing myself, there is also a possibility of another one in Peckham, but it's not been confirmed yet.

I am looking for what I think is a Mr Vidal, who owns a young ginger cat, short haired, very friendly cat, it's been living in my garden for nearly 2 weeks, always seems to be there and is always crying for food. I've been to the vets and they checked the chip, but the address was an SW post code. The vet tried to call you tonight but had no success, I believe you may have moved and not updated the cats chip or the cats come along way. Please can you pm me if this is you or if it's someone you know. The cat is resident in the gardens of lacon road and crystal palace road near the actress, he appears a little under nourished, so I have been feeding him. Regards

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
breadcrum45 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks James Good news they are now re painting them black, following a visit from the contractors about the surprise gas works. Councils left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing again, and more unnecessary spending of councils money. -
former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
breadcrum45 replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James Yesterday a badly printed inkjet leaflet saying cars need to be moved for line marking, today double yellows painted. We've had no notice of this is this for real? It's a back street and it's a struggle to park at the best of times. Should residents have been notified? What is the councils logic behind it? Crystal Palace Road between Crathrew Grove and North Cross Road Please advise
