  1. Fully working. Just missing the knob for steaming milk which can be replaced. FREE Collection SE22
  2. I’m super happy that we have an easy to access, relatively inexpensive gym on our doorstep. Yes, some things have gone that I loved to use, but if you take a bit of time and are game to try new things, it’s got a lot to offer. At the end of the month we will have an accompanying app that shows you how to use what they have safely a measure progress. I’ve seen the same people as before of all ages and abilities. Don’t write it off out of hand. It’s an amazing resource that many other boroughs would be proud to have
  3. Measurements here https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/songesand-bed-frame-with-2-storage-boxes-white-luroey-s19241274/
  4. IKEA double bed with 4 matching storage boxes on wheels that sit neatly underneath. Mattress not included collection just off Forest Hill Road, SE22. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/songesand-bed-frame-with-2-storage-boxes-white-luroey-s19241274/
  5. Another recommendation for Colin. He has been great. A very safe pair of hands. He's precise, detail oriented, great communicator. Lovely to work with as I worked out what I wanted done.
  6. Posting this for a friend and hoping it’s in the right part of the forum…
  7. Legend - first date scene in the nightclub is The Ivyhouse https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3569230/
  8. Swimming with Men at The Ivyhouse and I think Ringmore rise https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6532374/
  9. Is there a filmed in our area thread? Just found Boyzone - Picture of you video (featuring Mr Bean) was filmed on Therapia Road! Would love to know what else was made in our area :)
  10. If you park there on the 'odd' occasion, what's to stop other people parking there on the 'odd' occasion? Very quickly those 14 spaces start to fill up, then the frazzled mums end up near the recycling. 14 bays is a very small percentage of the overall parking available. Sainsburys obviously feel the need to bring in fines, as there are a lot of people ignoring the signs.
  11. Nunhead for sure. Look around Ivydale Road. Huge houses compared to East Dulwich for the price. Ivydale School. The Dish and the Spoon Cafe and Washboard drycleaners. East Dulwich is just a walk across the park, so you can head out to Lordship Lane and get the bus back or walk!
  12. We have a door curtain. It keeps the house warm and covers up the letterbox at the same time. :))
  13. My daughter had loads of problems with food. Intolerance rather than allergy, but it resulted in acid reflux that caused pain. We thought Kings were brilliant! The doctor will need to refer you and it takes a while to be seen. Your doctor is probably thinking jar food won't have any cross contamination from whatever else you cook in your kitchen. If your baby is getting swelling as a reaction it is best to play safe and only get single jar foods, or if you cook yourself, make sure you keep the area clear of other food stuffs. My daughter had problems with tomatoes, potatoes, bananas, onions, cauliflower, dairy, soya. Plus more obscure things like brussel sprouts. I am happy to say she is fine now and eats school dinners! I would go for the least allergenic foods first rice, pear, carrots, avocado, then lamb and chicken when you get into meats.
  14. They will. Although you need to look for BC Bikes as the name changed a while back. They seem to fix anything tyre shaped, buggy or bike!
  15. We think it's brilliant! What a good use of space. Before you started the exhibits and franks bar I would never have gone near the car park. Just didn't feel safe. Now I have friends from North London who have heard about it and want to come. Please carry it on next year. Can you get funding to make the access (stairs and lifts) more pleasant - that's biggest down side.
  16. The school had a meeting about the agreement. Parents were able to view their thoughts and give feedback. All sorts of issues were raised and changes actioned (and followed up!) It was a good open meeting and very well attended. tamblynhirst did you go? Discussing issues with staff is the best way forward when you are not getting what you want from a school. Write a letter. Organise a petition. But don't bad mouth on social networks when you clearly don't have all the facts and appear to have done nothing to action change. It makes you look bad tamblynhirst.
  17. Hi all, My kids use the traffic lights to get to school. I would like them to stay. Homestall is busy during the school run and traffic lights mean the cars and buses have to stop. We are having real problems with traffic at the Harris Girls end of the park. Cars come around the corner very fast, parents u-turn on the junction, or on the bend and traffic often backs up. In my mind, if cars have to stop, then it's better for pedestrians. Oh and I agree, getting onto Forest Hill road was easier before traffic lights - in a car - but as a parent with kids who would like to walk to school on their own - my vote would be to keep the lights.
  18. That really helps... thanks loads, I shall be visiting and finding out more.
  19. My son is dyslexic, although has no statement and I suspect no chance of getting one. I am looking for a school that will help him become confident and enjoy learning (as he's going to have to work twice as hard to keep up). Has anyone experience of dyslexia support and Kingsdale?
  20. My son is at Primary School (Goodrich) and has already been assessed (he is 8 now). We were lucky. The school has a dyslexia specialist on site. His final assessment and report was completed by an educational psychologist who is responsible for dyslexia strategy in Southwark. Her name is Linda Austin. She would be worth contacting via the Southwark website. ps. have a look at http://www.listening-books.org.uk/ for audio books that will support his learning and vocabulary at school.
