  1. Hello! Did anyone happen to find a blue kids Chilli stunt scooter on Sunday 26th January at Peckham Rye by the cafe / playpark? If yes.... please let us know. It?s our sons main mode of transport so he?s devastated bless him!
  2. Hi all PLAY OUT is on this Friday on Marsden road, 4-7pm. We'll be closing the road and watching kids enjoy the street without the fear of traffic. The wonderful Marsden Road wildlife garden will also be open and they will have lots of fun things for the kids to do such as pond dipping and generally running free! The garden is normally closed on a Friday so this is a real treat. If you come, please share responsibility in ensuring the barriers are staffed and children are safe. Do bring outdoor toys such as hula hoops, bubbles, chalk for hopscotch, skipping ropes, etc... Please also bring something to share or a picnic tea as there are plenty of spots to sit down and have a nibble. Thank you.
  3. Play out returns to Marsden Road this Friday. The road is closed to traffic and kids can play in the streets. The amazing wildlife garden is also open and children can do supervised pond dipping, bugs exploration and general fun. Really lovely chance to get to know local kids - please come along if you fancy. 4-7pm - Please bring outdoor games! We need to take turns as much as possible to steward the end of the road so if you are coming and can take a turn, it would be much appreciated. See you there - PM me if you need any more details
  4. Next Play Out day on Marsden Road is Friday 5th June, 4-7pm
  5. IF you are interested in setting up your own playout days, please have a look at this pack - http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/100011/transport_and_streets/3449/play_streets
  6. Play Out days have resumed on Marsden Road. They will run every first Friday of the month until September. Dates are June 5th, July 3rd, August 7th, September 4th, 4-7pm. The road will be closed so that kids can play in the streets without the fear of traffic. It's a lovely opportunity to get to play with local children that may go to other schools and to get to know the people we all live near to. The fantastic Marsden Road Nature Garden will also be open to everyone and will have pond dipping and other fun activities available. Everyone welcome, please bring outdoor games (skipping ropes, hula hoops, chalk for hopscotch) and a packed tea/snacks. If you have any questions about setting this up on your own road, please let me know as I'd love to see this happen all over Southwark.
  7. Milo road is a real problem. I have a dog and I find it absolutely disgusting that people let their dogs poo on the pavement and leave it there. Quite often there will be a massive mound of poo as I get out of my car, which when you have a toddler, pram and shopping in tow, is not particularly fun. I phoned the council to report it because it seriously has got out of control on Milo Rd, but they said there's nothing they can do unless a person is identified as allowing it to happen. There are already stencils on the pavement saying 'BAG IT AND BIN IT' and there's a poo bin on the road so it's just pure ignorance. I have no idea what the solution is but it's really gross and needs to be addressed in East Dulwich big time.
