  1. Just saw these photos of the Boss, aged 64. http://socialitelife.com/photos/bruce-springsteen-makes-it-a-beach-day-in-rio/bruce-springsteen-makes-it-a-beach-day-in-rio-part-2 OMG, I would. Note to self, I need to start getting my lazy ass down to the gym.
  2. This is a message to the idiot who walked down Silvester Road at 4.11am on Friday morning (20th Sept) carrying a mattress, only to dump it on the corner of Silvester/Crystal Palace Roads. Just so you know, I have your selfish ass on camera. Do you not know that you can phone Southwark Council and they will come and take your rubbish away from your house, for free? What a selfish twat you are to sneak around in the wee hours dumping your rubbish so that it is an eyesore for everyone else. I suggest you might like to do the decent thing and come and remove your mattress and then dispose of it responsibly. I am sorely tempted to post your photograph/video on here and other social media to show you up for the anti-social wanker you are.

    Great Gigs

Have you been on the Rioja El Phibe?
  4. Surely that's the queue for the new Iphone?
  5. If your neighbour goes out to work during the day perhaps she needs to hire a dog walker who can come and walk the dog in the afternoon. I feel your pain but the dog must be very stressed out so everybody is unhappy (dog, owner and neighbours).
  6. Oh dear, this does not bode well for you. Some dogs have terrible separation anxiety and often the last person to find out is the owner. I would suggest staying in contact with the owner although I am not sure how much they will be able to do. Try googling "canine separation anxiety" for some helpful advice.

Can't work out what your point is. I've seen a number of Cirque du Soleil shows (including most of the Vegas ones) and they've usually been brilliant (albeit VERY expensive) nights out. Conversely, I went to the Cirque show at the Royal Albert Hall last year and it was tired and lack-lustre, and roughly ?80 each for four seats. I saw a circus type show on the South Bank a couple of weeks ago and that was fantastic and only ?20. Not sure where I'm going with this except to say that it's not that helpful to compare a company with multi-million pound resources with a local traveling circus. Also, you don't always get what you pay, or at least my party didn't feel we'd had our ?300 worth at the Albert Hall last year.
  8. Deja vu
  9. FACT - estate agents do not cast reflections in mirrors. All the evidence you need is in this hilarious blog of tragic estate agent photos that I stumbled across and which has given me 20 minutes of pure joy. http://terriblerealestateagentphotos.tumblr.com/
  10. Hello Huggers. I think you're over-thinking it. Back in the old days, we would have called it a "wrong number" and moved on. But, as the Hooch has alluded to, just because you're being paranoid it doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you. Stay vigilant.
  11. OMG, have we met? Didn't realise I'd upset you. Sorry. 12. Hooch - I'm free next Wednesday. Thanx. Px
  13. "Maybe you could do a Folk-Circus-Fusion thang with Zippo" ..... genius Nettie Ok they may have got too enthusiastic with the poster thing but if we can just put that to one side and consider offering some support. I'm all for a night out in my own post-code that is affordable with no taxi fares involved.
  14. Oh please; "posting comments made by our customers" - you're grasping at straws there. Nobody is twisting what you say. I've directly quoted everything you said so how can that be twisting? Stop bigging up your own business, it's just embarrassing.
  15. Maybe but this is the ED Forum and to my knowledge the whole of the SE22 postcode is in Southwark.
  16. I agree with Kid Kruger; so long as there are no animals involved then it's good family fun, so turn off the TV and the Playstation and take the kids out. Yes the posters can be a bit irritating but only a bit and I think people are over-reacting. Let's keep it in perspective.
  17. Charlotte honey, this is SOUTHWARK, not Lambeth.

Somebody pinch me, can't be for real. Are you by any change the manager of a rival pub (i.e. NOT The Cherry Tree)? I could understand if you were because you aren't exactly winning friends and influencing people for The Cherry Tree.
  19. Will they never learn. Hey, Manager, nip down the road to Jacksons and ask for Darryl. The two of you should start your own club. "Losers not quite so anonymous" would be a good name.

  22. Years ago cans of drink used to have ring pulls that detached themselves from the can. Those things were a menace. Just like cigarette butts, we got so used to seeing them that we stopped noticing that the streets were littered with them. Then there was a campaign to get rid of them and, as we all know, cans were redesigned so that the ring pull didn't detach. I remember at the time that Jack Dee did a routine focusing on how pathetic it was to make a fuss about this tiny bit of metal. He was wrong. Bingo - an ugly phenomenon was gone overnight. And so it will be with plastic bags at supermarkets. In a few years time we will wonder how we ever became so complacent about the "disposable society" that we have created.
  23. Sorry I don't understand. Is your objective to help "less fortunate kids around the world" or to provide employment? Surely if you want to raise money for a charity then you will want ALL the money you raise to go to that charity. Paying ?40 plus bonus is taking money away from the cause and is a fortune for a small charity (less than ?5k a year). Sorry but I think you need to be a lot more transparent than you are being about this.
  24. That's actually not the case. A small charity earning less than ?5k a year can register with the Charities Commission. http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/start-up-a-charity/as-your-charity-grows/staying-small/ I am confused though as to how a charity this small can pay "?40 + bonus" for hired help to knock on doors. If you are a genuine charity would it not be better to get yourselves properly registered and use volunteers who are committed to your cause to fundraise?
  25. I have looked on the website for the Charity Commission and there is no registered charity in this country called "Save The Kids" or "STK". There is a website for savethekidsgroup.org but it is for a charity based in the USA. Can you explain a little more about your charity. If you aren't a registered charity then I don't think you should be collecting door to door as frankly you could be doing anything with the monies collected. www.charitycommission.gov.uk
