I don't think they are in Dulwich and West Norwood. The closest thing to the Monster raving Loony Party would be Corbyn, but I appreciate you may be put off by the Labour party's racism (not to mention their manifesto promising "free" unicorns and unicorn accoutrements). If you are an ABC voter, the Green Party would be your best bet, although an extremely long shot.
  4. Next, you'll be having us believe the thief who escaped was Donald Trump!
  5. "NATO, as an aggressive and expansionist nuclear and military alliance, plays a dangerous global role" Are you one of Putin's trolls, or trying to do an impression of Jeremy Corbyn's cronies?
  6. Seamus Milne must have been cringing at the audience laughing heartily at Corbyn as for the third time he clumsily avoided answering the most basic of questions "after you have negotiated a fresh agreement with the EU and you call a second referendum, would you campaign to Leave or Remain?" He finished with a flourish - "I've made my Brexit position clear" - cue more laughter... For a moment there, he seemed to be sweating almost as much as Prince Andrew.

Survation is now putting the lead at 14 points and DeltaPoll 15 points.
  8. True. YouGov tend to be on the high side. The Survation poll was rendered largely irrelevant though as it was before the Farage decision to pull candidates.
  9. Even Corbyn can't lose Dulwich & West Norwood (although I'm sure he'll have a good go).
  10. YouGov yesterday gave a 14 point lead - with polling done after the Brexit Party announcement.
  11. It is reported that it was just a DDoS hack, so most unlike a state sponsored event.
  12. Hi, I have PM'd you. I would be very interested in tickets for 2 children and 2 adults.

John, I may be speaking too soon, but it looks like you should be fine. After 1st round of voting: Harman - 72 Sir Lindsay Hoyle - 211 Dame Eleanor Laing - 113 Chris Bryant - 98 Rosie Winterton - 46
  14. Maybe time to get out more?
  15. Lindsay Hoyle is the bookies' odds on favourite, so you might yet get to vote.

Sorry - I don't understand that sentence at all. How does your reference to Autism or ADHD have anything to do with some parents acting in a disgusting way in a restaurant? Why did you mention Autism/ADHD in the context of this thread?

  19. I'll take that as a 'no'.
  20. Anyone care to predict whether the SC will find the prorogation to be lawful, or unlawful? In particular is it justiciable, and if it is, was it unlawful?

Yes, my sympathies too - I have a similar thing just now. Personally, (and I should stress I'm not a doctor!) if you haven't been already, I think you should be tested for BPPV (there's a simple test called the Dix-Hallpike test (https://www.webmd.com/brain/dix-hallpike-test-vertigo - check out the You Tube videos of physios doing this - it's very simple). If you have BPPV, there is a further simple manoeuvre that can give very good relief by moving the crystals causing the vertigo out of the part of the ear that affects balance (it's called the Epley manoeuvre). That is supposed to be very effective - see this from the British Journal of General Practice - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2930235/ Good luck with whatever you do to make it better.
  22. I thought I would post something to say that the School did indeed take this seriously and not only responded very quickly to my contacting them, but dealt with the matter in a timely and efficient manner. The HT and safer schools liaison also helpfully explained to me what they had/were doing to address the issue with the individuals concerned). I thought it only fair to mention this by way of update, so that any parents of children at the school can be assured that it was dealt with effectively and in a very professional manner.

Agreed, and frankly although they are 'kids', the two who were fighting could easily be mistaken for 20 year olds - they were both bigger than I am.

The Police were only called because one boy was knocked over twice by punches in the space of about a minute, the second time hitting his head (loudly) on the kerb. It wasn't stopping, so I was concerned someone might get properly injured if it carried on. As for criminal convictions/records, I never raised that as a possibility (and I don't think it is). I would have thought it is now a School matter (together with the Safer Schools PC liaison). Now it's over, what I am hoping is that those concerned are discouraged from having serious punch-ups in my street. While some might like to describe it (almost sentimentally) as "just your classic school scrap", my young children don't need to be frightened by seeing violence like that on their doorstep, nor do they need to witness 15 (to them, very big) kids shouting, swearing and being aggressive towards each other. Indeed, several passing school kids (who were not involved) looked positively terrified by it. So, no, it was a rather nasty fight and very unpleasant to see, but nothing like as serious as a street robbery or GBH.
  25. Harris Boys. I have very clear photos of the pupils concerned so they can't fail to identify them.
