We were supposed to be going to this on Saturday but can't now due to chicken pox. Which is a shame. If anyone wants our tickets then they are for sale in the classified section...

Second time mums - Summer Babies FH or ED

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I work full time but I've got Fri 10th off as I've got some friends coming to stay in the afternoon. So could potentially do then (but not til about 11am). But don't arrange around me as my availability is a bit awkward until I start maternity leave x -

Twins - Do I still have a choice of midwife?
lstickler replied to dildals's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I'm with the lanes and I'm having twins. But I was signed up with the lanes before I realised I was having twins (found out at 12 weeks). But I have to say that although the lanes are great, I do feel like I am wasting their resource as all of my care, scans, consultants etc is being done at Kings. BTW, The lanes have never made me feel like this, it's just how I feel. If your gone 12weeks then it might be difficult to get in with the lanes anyway as they do fill up quite quickly. Hope you work it out for the best x -
We're looking over the other side of forest hill so not in the catchment of those two. Near Kilmorie primary school? Although I've never heard Of this school so no idea what it's like...

Hi, We're thinking of moving to Forest Hill from ED. Does anyone have any opinions on the primary schools there? I know it's best to go an have a look round etc but interested in initial thoughts. Thanks all x

Mothercare do 12-18month pants. And so do asda but the fit and quality of the asda pants are not very good and although they fit round the waist they tend to be baggy on the legs

Yes it was heart problems that were indicated, so good to know that your sister's initial worries turned out to be unfounded - thanks. When they are big enough then they'll have a full cardiac scan so we'll know more then. Booking an area in the EDT sounds like a good idea. Would be great if you could book. Thanks x

Sals12 ? where did you do pilates? I?d like to start doing yoga or pilates. In my last pregnancy I continued to run/jog throughout my entire pregnancy but this one I feel so rubbish all the time I haven?t really been doing much at all and I feel very unfit. Glad everyones scans are going well. My first scan showed up some health issues so we?ve got some worries. And with identical twins you have to have scans every other week so it?s gonna feel like I spend my life at Kings!! Looking forward to meeting x

We did NCT classes the first time round and I made some very good friends out of it who I still see a lot of. However, I know a few people who have been in groups with people who did not live nearby or who were moving out of the area (or people they simply didn't get on with). So I guess it's luck in terms of the people you are with. I found the information provided pretty biased and not that useful to be honest. It was very focused on the birth and didn't really cover anything about how to care for a baby. One of the girls in the group was having a planned c-section and so it was kind of irrelevant. And in fact I had a complicated birth and so it ended up being irrelevant for me too. It depends on what you are after. NCT classes are expensive but I'm still glad I did it just because of the great people I met. Not sure if that helps anyone decide....it's only one opinion and I think they vary quite a lot depending on your instructor.
