If anyone has the misfortune to have a "Talk Mobile" Pay as You Go Phone, please be very careful "Talk Mobile" are closing and are offering to transfer you to "Vodaphone", they also offer to transfer any unused credit you have with "Talk Mobile" to "Vodaphone", in my case over ?20.00, "Talk Mobile" also said I would receive a ?10.00 bonus welcome pack from "Vodaphone". None of this is true, sums of credit below ?50.00 are not transferred, they pocket any credit below ?50.00 and will not transfer or refund, sums below ?50.00. Please be very careful if you are a "Talk Mobile" customer and make sure you use all your unused credit before you transfer. "Talk Mobile" will in effect steal the money you have paid them. "Talk Mobile" will not refund or transfer your paid for, but unused phone time. "Vodaphone" are also not aware of any welcome "Bonus" package ,that "Talk Mobile" told me would be applied when transferring. Any views or comments appreciated.

Bought a "Pro Action" cross cut 10 sheet shredder about three months ago. Bought mine via ebay about ?26.00, also shreds DVD discs. Well built solid construction, works very well, good value. However I always limit shredding to about six sheets at any one time.

Many thanks "EDF Geeks" "Dulwich Fox" I have 2.8 GHz and 4gb memory, so should be OK. "Angelina" what did your Dad hate about "Windows 10"? "Right Clicking" I removed the update that informed me about the upgrade on my task bar, however the MSN UK has a nag on the page each time I visit the page. As I have until the end of July to get the free upgrade, I will probably leave it till mid July, when Microsoft will probably have launched service pack one, as they did with windows 7.

I am considering downloading and installing "Windows 10". Is there any specific advice or recommendations on the best way to do this, with the option to return to my present operating system "Windows 7" Any advice and or recommendations greatly appreciated. Incidentally I am far from being a computer whizz, I majored in woodwork.

We had a similar problem in March 2013. We noticed that our water meter was still registering water flowing through the meter when we knew everything was switched off. We contacted ADI plumbing leak detection service, who have specialist leak detection equipment, it sounds like a quiet air raid siren when it detects a leak, it gets louder and faster the closer it gets to the leak. Our leak was under a concrete floor, this meant the pipe had to run in a different way to solve the leak. ADI Plumbing Ltd,44 Badger Way Hazlemere High Wycombe Bucks HP15 7LJ 0800 731 3834. I thought the cost of solving the problem expensive at over ?700.00, but we could not find any alternative. Hope this helps.

Van taking up parking spaces in shopping parade

I am given to understand that the insurance on a vehicle is invalid without a current MOT. Is this not correct? -

I thought the parking area in this part of the FHR had a two hour parking limit. -
Very many thanks for the info regarding "Windows 10". I think from the opinions given I will stay with "Windows 7"for the time being, better the devil you know so to speak.

I am at present happily using "Windows 7 Home Premium". Have any of the Computer wizards on the forum using, or have used "Windows 10" and what is their opinion ? I am in a quandary, should I accept download and install the free upgrade to "Windows 10" as recommended by "Microsoft", or stay with "Windows Seven" ?. Your views and opinions would be much appreciated

Question, with regards to the ?100k found behind the wall by the builder, we were informed that as the notes were very old the money was worthless. Does anyone know is this in fact true? The very few GBP notes I have all denote the following, "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of", depending on the value of the note, it does not specify an expiry date. Am I correct in thinking that if these notes were presented to the Bank of England, they would in fact be exchanged for present day currency, providing of course the notes were not forgeries?

Up until 1987, you had to have a licence to own a dog of any kind within Great Britain, and that in Northern Ireland you still need a licence. Dog licensing was abolished in 1987. Prior to this dog licences were mandatory, but the requirement was widely ignored, with only about half of owners having one. The final rate for a dog licence was 37 pence, reduced from 37?p when the halfpenny was withdrawn in 1984. This figure was an exact conversion from 7/6 (seven shillings and sixpence) on decimalisation in 1971. The revenue went to local authorities.

Vibrations and noise caused by ramps on EDG
Drxyster replied to heartblock's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I wonder if these ramps/humps have any effect on the settlement or possible subsidence of properties in the vicinity,(South London Clay soil is notorious for this). Heartblock, you mention the walls move when something heavy goes over the ramp, Jah Lush, you mention you can feel the building shake a little, hopefully neither of you have noticed any cracks appearing in the fabric of the building since the ramps have been installed. As I am sure you are aware any form of underpinning is very expensive and can treble the cost of buildings insurance in the future. -

Question. did the "Sailor Prince" become re-named "The Shergar"

Reeds not only sold records, they were also agents for Premier drums. I bought a Premier silver sparkle drum kit from Reeds on HP and my Zildijain cymbals from "Melbourne Pianos. The group was called "The System", we eventually broke up as various members got married, myself included. Our lead singer Martin Barnes, now Martin Lee is the lead singer with 1976 Eurovision song contest winners "Brotherhood of Man".
