  1. Hi all- We have an absolutely brilliant cleaner who is looking for more work locally. She is so attentive, and house is left spotless when she goes, and all done with a smile. Just gets on with the job and shows up every week on time. She charges £15 per hour. Only thing is her English is not so good so always better to convey any messages via whatsap where she can easily translate them. If interested, do message Ana on 07301 332003. Many thanks, Annie
  2. Hi there- We need to have our old French patio doors removed and new ones inserted. Please let me know if this is something you can do? Many thanks! Annie

  5. Hi there, we are looking for someone keen to work with kids who can help look after our children aged 13, 11 and 8. It would involve picking the 8 year old up from Heber school at 3.30 and finish at 6. Please let me know if interested! Annie
  6. Hi all- We are looking to find some after school help for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to look after our 3 children aged 13, 10 and 8 years old. The 13 and 10 year old need less ‘care’ more offer of snacks and some interest and chat. The 8 year old would be more hands on. we also have some clubs they would need taking to and from but very near by. We live on Landcroft road and the younger two go to Heber Primary school. The hours we are looking for are 3.30 to 6.00/6.30. We have a dog who has a dog walker but of course also be great if you/ they like dogs! Please PM me if interested or you know someone who is. Many thanks!
  7. Hi there, I wondered if anyone has any experience of how to secure a dyslexia screening for your child? My son is aged 12 and in secondary school. I have suspected for a while he had dyslexia but perhaps it’s not bad enough for the school to pick it up. I have now asked the school and they have said they don’t carry out ‘ad hoc’ dyslexia screenings. Does anyone have any experience on this and know what is the best way to have him then assessed in some other way? Many thanks!
  8. Hi there- Does anyone know? Last time I was there they told me they did, but hadn’t seen any information on their site or anywhere saying they actually do! I thought they did them on Sunday mornings… Thanks
  9. Ignore
  10. Hi there, Our child has just received a ?no speech no development issues autism? diagnosis. As such, we are discussing with the school whether to apply for an EHCP. To throw into the mix we have also just found out he hasn?t got into any of his secondary school choices so as I understand it this make trying to get an EHCP all the more critical. Does anyone have any experience or advice they can offer in this area or know someone I could speak to on it? Many thanks!
  11. Hi all, Not sure if anyone has a lock down birthday coming up for their little ones but just wanted to give a huge shout out to DJ Dancemasters. https://www.dancemasters.co.uk/ They just ?hosted? my daughters 6th birthday party and they were awesome! Had an amazing DJ (Mike) with all the lights and the real DJ look, and then ?Dance master Alex? who gave a couple of routines for the kids to follow. It lasted an hour and it was brilliant. We distributed birthday cake and flowers sticks before to the party guests for everyone to enjoy during the party. They are a south London set up and we came across them as they DJ for our local Heber school?s parties. Thanks!
  12. Great thank you for this- very useful to know!
  13. Thanks all for your replies. Will go for it then.
  14. Hi there, Does anyone regularly use London City airport? I only have tried to once and the flight was cancelled due to fog. It was an early morning flight... I?m wondering whether to chance it and fly back to city airport from Zurich in Wednesday afternoon... If anyone flies regularly can let me know that would be great! Other option is Heathrow but it?s so far from a Dulwich. Thanks!
  15. Hi there, We are considering moving our child from Dulwich Hamlet to Heber School. Nothing drastic but just not sure Hamlet is the right ?fit? for our son?s character and Heber seems a little more smaller and supportive. But we dont know anyone with any kids in Year 3. If you have a child in Year 3 there I would love to hear from you and what your thoughts are on the school and teachers. Many thanks!
  16. Thanks both for these replies - will check them both out! :)
  17. Hi there, We are going to France travelling by motorhome this summer- so aiming to stay at a campsite near Bordeaux. As it?s our first time in a motor home we want to take our time heading south. Does anyone have any recommendations of nice campsites in the north (between Calais and Caen) for us to stop in - on the way and on the way back? We are wanting to avoid travelling via Paris! Many thanks!
  18. Thanks All for the tips- and yes French camping does seem quite different to British camping - but yes swings and round about i guess. Thanks again!
  19. Wow this sounds awesome! Will definitely check it out. Thank you!
  20. Hi there, We are thinking of going to a French camp site over the sunmer. We have never been before- so wondered if anyone has any recommendations for good ones? We are looking for one with a pool as we have x3 youngish children. Many thanks, Annie
  21. Hi there, Does anyone have a recommendation for drama classes that aren?t too costly? We can?t go during the week (except Fridays could be an option). We have been doing stagecoach which is great but just a bit too expensive for us and anyway our son is more interested in just drama. Any recommendations would be gratefully received! Many thanks!
  22. Thanks very much all!! So helpful and great advice!
  23. Hi there, I wondered if anyone can recommend a super nanny type professional? My brother is having a very difficult time with their 3 year old. He is fine if things are going his way but can easily flip into a huge tantrum. He doesn't like interacting with other adults, so if granny comes to stay he won't leave his parents side. He often plays up at bed time too. They are feeling at their wits end as he is such hard work, though also has elements of being sweet and loving too. Does anyone know anyone who can perhaps help? Even if it's a FaceTime call? Many thanks
  24. Hmmm... ok thanks all for your wise words. Will have a think on it, but yes really don't have time for lots of hassle at the moment! Who does?!
  25. Thanks both. I did make a claim for the repair of some scratches- I wasn't bothered about them but because the driver was driving dangerously and originally asked that we settle without insurers which I was prepared to do- and then ignored my calls I felt it was my only option. So car 'repaired' now. So, ok they read out to me some 'road act from 2014' that an insurance company has to tapir damage, offer courtesy car and then allow for due compensation. But yes, does sound like a scam and I'm sure they would do better out of it than me!
