At 4 o'clock this afternoon, two skydivers leapt out of a helicopter meaning to land in the playing field at Alleyns. they veered off course. It looked like they landed near Goose Green, but I'm not sure. Alleyns put on this stunt every year for Founders Day, one year they had a Chinnoock, it didn't go down well with residents! Anyway did anyone get a surprise in their back garden?

Hi I received a penalty charge notice today for going into the bus lane at the top of Rye Lane, I have never driven through Peckham before so was trying to navigate. I should have gone left and re-entered the one way system I suppose, but it was confusing. I can't remember seeing a turn left sign, or a sign on a post that I was entering a bus lane. Has anyone else been unfortuanate or better still contested this pcn....please no smug 'you should have cycled' nonsense, I cycle most of the time.....

I am so shocked that this can happen, its a very important statue and monument, even if a certain estate agent has purloined the image and used it to advertise their services, maybe they could lead the hunt in recovering the sculpture...

I am thinking about having a bike shed installed in my front garden, has anyone got anything good/bad to say about either the metal ones or the dulwichgreen.com shed with garden-on-the-roof types?...do they get targeted by robbers? and can they successfully break into them, any information gratefully received. Just tried to go for a rare drink on Lordship Lane as the kids are at their Grannies and found half a dozen people looking out down towards the Parmerston. the co-op has definitely had its window smashed in and the Parmeston looks damaged too, Two police have just turned up..apparently some lads had been running up the street with balaclavas on.....in East Dulwich.
