Thanks Growlybear I do hate it when CEO's make such statements before checking how or if they can actually follow through! I'm disabled and unable to go to the shops, no delivery slots for me either! I did manage to book one ages ago for Asda but after that will be forced to ask others (whats app group, teenage kids) for help. Its incredibly frustrating and makes a normally independent person feel quite vulnerable.

Yorksgirl and Caz - I am disabled and have tried getting through to Sainsburys on twitter etc. Nothing....I can't help it but I am starting to get worried. I can't get to shops - small or big - even when I manage to get a slot, nothing much available. Its truly awful and so stressful. I am also a single parent to two teens and we are self isolating! My job is at risk and maybe a few weeks left. Please re assure me all be OK as my incompetent PM does not instill confidence

School children being mugged in Dulwich
mariababe replied to BlueOrchid's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My 14 year old son was mugged on his way to chef school on a sat morning on oglander rd. The cheeky git asked what type of phone he had....the kid was on a bike wearing a balaclava, pushed my son over. My son ran home. He had left his phone at home luckily. The police turned up and were absolutely brilliant, they get at least 6-7 calls per shift across southwark they were saying. Its not just Dulwich is my point. He and his friends had been mugged previously on goose green by shits known to them!!! -

All i can add is KARMA baby! They were incredibly terrible at cleaning my house, awful in fact and when i complained they were so arrogant and then lied (on google reviews). Toying with small claims court to get my money back. -
Southwark in their greedy haste hiked up the rents so that it became unaffordable for the previous owners to continue.... Loved this cafe really sad to see this happen

Camberwell Grove bridge closed for at least 6 months

I will never forget the little girl who needlessly died at the lights by peckham rye. My daughter was the same age and a mum from school lay with her whilst she passed away. It haunted us all for a long time and is still upsetting. A tragic waste of life because although the work had finished the workmen hadn't removed the temp lights. -
Secondary school recommendations Peckham Rye
mariababe replied to emc's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Lewisham usually publish details on last place by distance, how many applied etc. Check their website, but may have changed since they do not band anymore. My son is at new charter and he told me some boys come from Herne Hill.....maybe the school will release or have more details when they have their open days. -
Thanks Muggleswoth - haven't been for a while - have they sorted the garden issue?

You will probably get into the new Charter, the catchment went right into Nunhead I believe but not exactly sure how far. Sydenham Girls too is a great choice. Good luck -
flashpark parking charge lordship lane vet
mariababe replied to wodey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think you can park on the road (saw some lines and a car parked there the other day)but there is a sign so must be restrictive, how you have the time to read the sign I'm not sure. I use the barbers sometimes and recently had to park briefly by the vets (literally 3 mins) for the first time the other day. I will not pay a fine if I get one. -
Wanted (slightly urgent!): Sydenham School prefect jumper
mariababe replied to tomskip's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My daughter wasn't a prefect but she has friends that were. She is at Sydenham 6th...do you want me to ask her to reach out to her friends? It is going to be hot tmrw- you sure she will be in trouble? -
Anyone with a daughter at Sydenham School?
mariababe replied to tutorse22's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi there, My daughter just finished successful GCSE's at Sydenham, its a great great school, fabulous care of precarious teen girls and they get really good results (its a proper comp school all ranges of ability). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, as would all the parents of girls that go or went there that I know, there is not a lot of negativity around the school. The communication is brilliant compared to other schools I have heard. (phone calls if homework missed, texts reminding you of exams or tests). Please pm if you need to discuss more -

I completely understand the late night noise, but whats the problem of people sitting in the garden over a coffee and having a chat? As far as the building works go - have the council inspected it?
