I now I am being silly but... support needed...
iaineasy replied to supergolden88's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I thought we would have a boy and it turned out a to be a girl, I still hope she will be a world footy champion or make the england ladies cricket team and be a world champ at that. And if it makes you feel better (and just between me and you , don't tell anyone) my mum taught me to knit! Although I forgot how to cast on/off. It's tough not getting what you expect, but don't worry when you hold your little one you will probably wonder what you were so worried about. The very best of luck to you.xx hugs. -

Schonrock kids and unchaperoned "school run"
iaineasy replied to Alex K's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think allowing any child of primary school age to take themselves to school is hugely irresponsible. ------------------------------ I couldn't disagree more, my dad left when I was 5, my mum worked two jobs to pay the mortgage and keep a roof over our heads losing the house and being homeless would have been irresponsible. My taking myself to school may not have been ideal but nothing ever happened to me. my point remains hurrah for the parents. hugsb -

Schonrock kids and unchaperoned "school run"
iaineasy replied to Alex K's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I had to walk to school at primary on my own, whats the fuss? Reporting parents for this is, to my mind over stepping the mark by a long way. I don't believe there to be more risk now than then, and it is for the parents to decide if thats a risk worth taking? Unless the kids are showing outward signs of neglect and ill treatment the headmaster should keep his fat mouth shut and the other "concerned" parents should mind there own business. Some families survive on both parents working which precludes them the luxury of having the time or a nanny to do the school run.I am sure the fact that they travel together makes them safer and with any luck they ride on the pavement only. Hurrah for them hugs -
maybe it was a particularly bad hicky by a boy with braces? happens to the best of us and of course the worst. hugs.

I have been and I could not reccommend it more, Its one of the most chilled out festivals on the circuit and perfect for a family weekend. The music is nearly all live and the standard of it is excellent. Lost of sonds you would never heard before because of the international musician ship. some good workshops and loads of ethnic gifts and craft stuff to buy. If the weather is good it's a corker. you should go keef it will definately appeal to your creative musical vibe!! hugs

Although there are a lot of horro stories that come with squatters, I believe they can be beneficial. In amsterdam ther is a system where squatting is encouraged in empty buildings but under given conditions where the squatter agrees to caretake the building and give it back in good condition, when the owner needs it back, if they stick to the agreement they are offered another place to stay ensuring low homelessness for the squatter and building kept safe for owner. I believe this could work in london too, saving property owners the agro and expense of eviction procedings and dealing with homelessness and wanton vandalism of property by careless squatters. I hope they are kind for the owners sake and happy to negotiate an easy exit when the property is wanted back, unfortunatley alot of owners fear the worst when squatters get in, and go in all guns blazing rather than have a freindly chat with the occupants, there by getting hackles up and a confontation nearly always ensues. I have know quite alot of squatters and on the whole they are usually creative eco concious and pretty kind people albeit skint. huggs

*Checks through soda stream selection, and smiles ear to ear at sight of Cream Soda* *makes the mistake of putting the concentrate in before the bubbles and makes a small explosion the iranians would be proud of, and wanting to make the best of it starts an ibiza style foam party in the fall out from the soda stream machine, hoping dulwich mum will turn up for a quiet boogie* 3275 people have visited the quiet room with nothing to say but maybe nows the time to start the silent disco. Its friday after all.

your going bald, dont worry about it, consider it a solar panel for a sex machine. I went bald when i was a teenager and couldnt grow a beard till my thirties, you may be cantankerous and obstreperous,(whatever that means)and bald, but at least you are eloquent. my feeling is that being those three things probably don't get you laid often but you can talk or type your way out of a shag with some style, thats a talent. Growing hair isn't a talent and having a moody mid life crisis is about par for the course with or without hair! dont worry we still love ya and you will be surprised at how many sexy girls cant resist a rub of a bald head after a slippery nipple or two!! hurrah for the chrome dome I say!! hugs

Anna and I were poles apart, I wanted a suprise but she being a "planner" sort of a person had to know. We were so undecided we tossed a coin in the waiting room of the scan place and she won! I wanted best of three but she wasn't having it at all, the second I knew it was a girl I ewas so chuffed and by hye next scan we had named her. Finding out was okay in the end and it did help us get to grips with what was about to happen a bit more!! good luck whichever it is! hugs
