Had a claw taken out of our cats eye today at the vets in Herne hill, and for no reason other than he could, a really nice guy called Mike who was there with his cats, offered us a lift home!! That's the community spirit that we moved to East Dulwich for! I often throw in little extras on jobs I am doing for nothing, because its nice for the community,BOOM karma insurance pays off! There are few enough areas in london where you get that feeling of belonging to a genuinely nice community `so thanks Mike and for the rest of you forumites pay up the karma insurance its good for us all and makes Dulwich a nice place!! hugs as ever

Pickle She is from a different culture and therefore may have a different outlook on what's best for her kids, no offence love but I'm not sure you can involve yourself with her, without your (strained) relationship falling apart totally and being left with a neighbour from hell to deal with. As much as it worries you nothing terrible has happened yet and the other two kids are old enough to raise an alarm should there be a need, besides she may have told them to keep an eye on the nipper and they maybe old and responsible enough to take that seriously. Obviouasly I am in no position to give anyoneadvice as I haven't had mine yet, but there care (the kids next door) is not your responsibility so don't beat your self up about it!! hugs ymenik are you sure this isn't just a two year old having a big tantrum?? I am lead to beleive that it happens alot at that age and a neighbour who has to listen to it could be thinking the worst. Talk to your neighbour she may be at her wits end with the crying and stuff herself and may just need a good old nag at a freind, if you chat with her you will find out pretty soon if she is as nasty as you think then if needs be take it further. Having a load of social services all over her may be the last thing she deserves or needs. hugs 2 you too Iain.

The more you put yourself out there with blogging facebook myspace twitter etc the more likely you are to get the occasional oddball, thats the price of social networking and no offence to DM but she seems to be the most proffessional of us on that front, I have read her blog seen her twitter page (dont worry I'm not stalking you) if the links are there and you have time on your hands you follow them. I guess the weird thing is approaching someone after or taking it that next step, maybe bbw is just more of an extrovert than most and prepared to say hi, I don't know him well enough to be able to say, I suppose there is a difference between "follow me on twitter" and follow me down the park though.

I heard of very successful results when people gave up tap water and only drank bottled water due to the mineral content of tap water having a detremental effect. there are currently studies going on into this.Try googling it and see what info you can get. good luck! hugs
