  1. they are the only ones I have purchased - so maybe biased.. they certainly last and we have handed down to our youngest.. so certainly value for money - no need to replace every 2/3 years..
  2. here you go.. http://www.micro-scooters.co.uk/scooters-model-maxi-micro-ages-6-12.html
  3. We were at HHS for Kindergarten and we loved it.. For other reasons went to JAPS at Reception. We are now in year 3 JAPS and the girls who joined us from HHS were heads and shoulders above the JAPS girls .. which leads me to believe that the pressure on HHS in year 1 and 2 must be immense to get them ready for the move into the limited spaces at other schools at 7 - like JAPS and Alleyns.. its a shame as the school at Kindergarten was great..
  4. We just designed three of them.. some tips: niches in all walls where allowable... under sink vanity units for max storage, floating toilet to give illusion of space using a steel frame no bath taps -water comes out of overflow tap.. background led lights on PIR ( so they come on at night automatically).. main lights are not connected to fan - so you can turn fan on and off as and when required.. in built ceiling speakers (just because I love music in the morning shower)
  5. I have impulse and my monthly is around ?20
  6. I have found it cheaper to take our car - use valet parking, so dropped off outside the terminal doors than use taxis
  7. A bit of an open ended questions. Our main goal is to make sure its varied, home cooked, fresh and healthy.. whether that's always achieved is another thing entirely - too busy, late back etc.. our main ethos is no processed foods or drinks, lots of fruit and veg and home cooking
  8. I would try Suffolk.. nr Ipswich -towards Woodbridge, Aldeburgh
  9. Places like JAGS and Dulwich College, DPL have approved teachers who use their pool for private lessons. You would then need to call them individually to see if they have space..
  10. i bought the sony ones - a bit more expensive - but the battery life is immense.. you can get through 2 full feature films without charge - nothing more upsetting than a dead DVD player when the kids are screaming !
  11. Hi i just refurbed the whole house and decided against Cat6 and went with Cat5e http://www.cablinginstall.com/articles/2014/12/cat5e-cat6-cat6a-guest-blog.html
  12. we went to lovetocommunicate http://www.lovetocommunicate.co.uk/ Ciara was amazing with our three year old.
  13. We bought a strider balance bike. Excellent bikes and not as pricey as others.
  14. We moved out to a rental with the two kids. Best money spent. Saved on builders quote as no need to work around us or keep a second set of lights on. Plus no dust and kids have no idea of what's happening. Hopefully back in at end of November. It's been a 26 week project so renting made sense. Our builders have been amazing. Happy to PM people when finished. Don't want them taking other work until mines done
  15. I had quotes from all 4. Went for culmax. They were installed two weeks back and look great. I went for three big sliding doors in their 20mm profiles
  16. Our nanny used our car. Nothing in contract. We paid insurances etc. if there was a fine and there were only two - I paid one and she paid the other based on the circumstances. As she is ferrying your children around and sometimes fines happen
  17. I would go and find a joiner or carpenter. A solid hardwood door will not be less than ?1k
  18. Hi Just done this ourselves. You will have to find a flat down the usual route - normally a standard AST agreement which allows you to give notice after month 6. So normally need to stay 8 months in total
  19. thanks - but they are 1 1/2 hrs out of london !! any recommendations for bespoke in London.. and preferably south london?
  20. I am using Matteo Bianchi.. looking good so far.. has a studio in Peckham http://matteobianchi.co.uk/
  21. we use a private swimming teacher at the JAPS pool and our daughter has come on leaps and bounds.. worth the investment if swimming is important they have a list of instructors that use their pool
  22. So we did the reverse engineer to get a gross payment.. that we declared as her salary.. we always manage to get to the net of ?10 ph.. i have all the calcs (a full working XLS spreadsheet) if interested..
  23. you are not alone - its daylight robbery - taking money off desperate parents caught up in the trap of trying to get nursery places. its an easy scam to gather more cash - knowing they have us at their mercy.. someone i know got into the same nursery we were waiting for because she knew the owner and suddenly a place appeared - we waited two years and got no call.
  24. They have a shop in Clapham Junction on Northcote road
  25. I assume Lisa Taylor you are paying Tax and NI? The net rate seems to be around ?10 ph to the nanny.. Here are the calcs for 33 hours a week.. you have to find ?401.86 to pay a nanny ?10 per hour for 33 hours a week.. Gross ?401.86 Tax ?41.87 Empl NI ?29.86 EE NI ?34.34 Net ?330.12
