  11. Simple: Calton Avenue road traffic has precedent all the way through the lights (when its green) and now finally there is a yellow box to stop them blocking the way for drivers to go through to Court Lane.. in other words - if in a rush , head down Calton Ave and not down Court Lane
  12. The best place in my humble opinion is a shop in lewisham.. HE OLBY.. nr the hospital. Great service, dependable and willing to match prices..
  13. I rang up John Lewis (my insurer) they asked for the building plans etc.. and then changed the insurance to allow for empty occupancy plus the usual covers for damage by builders.. they also wanted the JCT contract i had with my builder as it they also had insurance which would cover damage to the house..
  14. Talking about Pizza - Theos in camberwell green - awesome
  15. Its not easy - whether its private or state.. you still have the same issues.. my wife eventually had to quit work as it financially made no sense vs the cost of a nanny and we didn't want an au pair staying with us - although a much cheaper option and one that many of my friends do use
  16. I emailed Dulwich Estates again - and they replied back with June
  17. I used to live on Ardbeg Road - a flat which we owned a few years back.. i know for a fact there are parents who moved in for the "schools", DVIS as well, and then moved out once the admissions had been approved.. not sure how you resolve it..
  18. Sofas always worry me in cafes - as the amount of crap that accumulates behind the cushions is gross!! i avoid sofas at all cost -especially those faux leather ones..
  19. we went for poured resin.. its the stuff they use in airport hangars.. so hard wearing and an amazing contemporary look - comes in any colour you want..! no grout lines so great for a clean looking floor in the kitchen
  20. Dulwich Prep on Gallery Road.. nice fireworks, food stalls etc
