  1. Hi Sem, please me your price list as well. Thanks F
  2. Just be careful with burglars. My wife's scooter got stolen a couple of months back from our front drive. I discovered that the thief then stole handbags with it in Lewisham the next day. I understand from the police that he was chased and that there was a shoutout (one police officer said that to my wife but since it is an open case type of thing, it was never reconfirmed. I am therefore not sure it's true but like you, my initial reaction would have been to have a go myself. With hindsight, I would have looked very stupid in front of a gun and I reckon a scooter/handbag/etc is not really worth it.
  3. Hi Dammit, I am sorry for you. These locks can be expensive, that's a real pain. Having said that, from a legal standpoint, you had left something on a private property, it probably didn't have your name/number on it, you had no written authorisation to leave it there so technically, you are not in a good place to try and recover that cost. In this scenario, I am not even sure they would have had to tell anyone about cuting those locks tbh. Imagine someone attaches a lock on one of the gutters of your house, well, you'd probably be entitled to remove it at your convenience. Prob best to try and have a smooth conversation with the manager of the gym and propose something like to split cost for a new lock or something. Good luck with that.
  4. James, very interesting website. I am quite surprised by the lack of accidents at Goodrich, I've seen many but I guess this site stops at 2011. In fairness, it looks like more should be done between Townley rd and Upland road. There is a significant number of accidents there and that's where drivers go fast despite numerous driveways and junctions.
  5. Well, I hear that summer should be between August 13th and August 17th, like that year. I missed it in 2012 coz I was out of the country that week - gutted.
  6. well, I suppose it depends on whether or not they can rotate :-)
  7. that must be a trick question...
  8. My wife got done there. This is just council backed extortion. Disgraceful. There must be a way for peeps to complain officially about this? I wonder how many people get done by this every year.
  9. I'd agree with Penguin68 in that the 20mph limit between Goose Green and Whateley is probably already enforced. The problem is more between Whateley and Crystal Palace Road. Many cars there clearly do not follow speed limits, nor do buses (coming downhill in particular!) which is very scary when one tries to get into Lordship Lane (or out of a driveway in my case). Crossroads with Pellat, Hebert and Goodrich rds have no visibility and there have been quite a few accidents there because peeps on Lordship Lane are just going too fast. Goodrich in particular has to be a black spot: I've personally seen at least 5 accidents there in the past 6 months so there must have been many more. It'd be interesting to commission a speed survey there.
  10. I live circa Goodrich rd - car are very often speeding in that area. I am not in favor of a 20mph speed limit but making sure drivers stick close to 30 would be good. There are various ways to do that: more red lights who trigger on speed, zebra crossings, narrowing the road at some intervals, small bumps (not sure this is even feasibly there), and getting a policing once a month or something,
