  1. Sorry to hear this, same happened to us in Herne Hill last year. We have a 20year old polo. Reported to local police and car reg, they later told us vehicle had been stolen
  2. Hi Rahrahrah We drive out to Minster beach on Isle of Sheppey - less than ninety minutes from here, not much tide, steep beach so deep water good for swimming
  3. We had our cat stolen yesterday afternoon in Herne Hill, thieves drivings silver Prius. Our car is a twenty year old VW Polo, cost of repairs considerably greater than the value of the car
  4. I loved that show, muggy boneheads and all
  5. "The Low Classes"? presumably those who don't use "lower" correctly.
  6. Compton Arms - there is a memory. My old mate Barry was year below Roger at school - they bonded over the time they spent outside the headteacher's office awaiting punishment for various misdemeanours
  7. That's a really nice sofa
  8. St Saviiour's & St Olave's last OFSTED was ten years ago and they were outstanding. I assume it is a good sign if OFSTED haven't been back. The progress eight score this year was .56 "well above average" Data for Southwark here. https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/schools-by-type?step=default&table=schools&region=210&la-name=southwark&geographic=la&for=secondary&basedon=Overall%20performance&show=All%20pupils&datasetfilter=provisional&searchtype=&la-name=southwark Was it one of your choices?
  9. Shouldn't this discussion be part of "tiny things that cause you irrational rage"?
  10. could do worse than joining JAGS and use their pool early mornings or evenings
  11. We had AFE, change a toilet for us - superfast job, veyr reliable. Definitely recommend
  12. margate is hard to beat for beach, and then only a short drive to Broadstairs for ice cream. Would definitely pass on Camber
  13. Angelina, not wanting to scare you, but it is often sixth forms with most stringent entry requirements that "cull" the most - seems to have been the case at St Olaves which is super selective at year 7 and year 12
  14. Angelina, I am not sure St Olave's was a "one-off" - I am guessing plenty of grammar schools doing something like that. My professional experience is that many schools may encourage some students to move on at end of Year 12 not for league table reasons, but for best wishes of student - a view the student may not always take. (PS: I was using the worn "culling" somewhat ironically, which I now realise is never a good idea on social media)
  15. Cheers Bill, on same (ish) page
