Presumably so people don't leave biodegradable bags instead of compostable bags in their food waste bin, most people aren't aware there's a difference. As for the rubbish, it's terrible if plastic waste falls out the bin. Some cardboard or a letter? Not so much.

Ofcom does charge Royal Mail for not delivering First and Second class mail on time, but it's done by metrics and not individual cases. They fined them £5.6m last year. Saying that, it's probably cheaper for Royal Mail to take the fine than to hire more carriers. I can see the industry moving towards a gig economy style thing in the future, akin to Amazon Flex

I just think some owners are a bit dippy, they aren't aware that dogs cause a lot of issues for wildlife. Ground nest birds will abandon their young, foxes and badgers will abandon their dens, rats and mice will relocate into people's gardens and houses, squirrels and birds typically avoid dog heavy areas too. There are a lot of parks in the area that allow for unleashed dogs, so it really makes no sense to ruin the lives of other animals because the owner simply cannot be arsed.

Appears to be a nice money spinner for them going by reviews. You probably have little chance of getting the deposit back, despite how onerous the terms might be. Being charged for services that weren't rendered however is another story. You probably want to speak to a solicitor who does litigation and see what they would advise.

Really you should report this to the police, even if they take no action there will be a record that someone has reported this person for potentially illegal activity. It may be the precursor to more serious abuse in the future.

I don't think the modern approach to paving (i.e, smash up the slabs and dump tarmac down) helps either. I presume at one point the pavers used to all slope towards the gutter. At the very least it needs a good powerwash and biocide as I was nearly arse over heels the other day with how slippy it gets.

I would personally check if that figure is actually correct and if they have an itemisation for the charges before seeking legal action. It's highly likely that someone has mucked up there. The only way I can imagine charges are that high is if you had several issues that needed fixing like cladding, foundations, etc.
