To today?s mattress flytipper on Horniman Drive
beebee replied to Celt's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hello, does anyone have an idea or link who to contact to remove a freshly dumped van load of rubble on Oglander road. Amazed at how brazen they have been. -
I've had 2 in 6 months in Oglander road probably due to building works in the area. Melbourne tyres fixed one the 2nd unfortunately resulted in a ?150 replacement which was the going rate for that size tyre.

Used Nico last week when I had a bathroom leak which I was worried was going to cause damage to the flat below. He came out late that evening to stop the problem and then again the next morning to replace the offending hose. I was pleased with his very quick service and reasonable price and will continue to use him.
-
Hello, Terry came round today and did a smart job changing some lights in my flat. He was happy to explain my options and did a professional job at a price I was happy with. I would gladly use him again.

100 percent scam. Dean Morgan is a pro footballer who could do slightly more higher profile fund raising than going door to door collecting. My mate plays league 2 football and said his bemused girlfriend phoned him up once to tell him a bloke was chatting her up pretending to be him! My mate was more flattered than annoyed.

Another thumbs up for Lee he managed to get to see my temperamental boiler on the day I phoned him. Reasonable price so have booked him for another job changing a radiator.

Millwall as a club have been heavily involved this season in the save Lewisham a and e campaign, Help for Heroes, Evelina children s hospital, Everyman to name a few. Plus the players have been recognised by the football league for their community work. The fans have always generously supported and backed all these and more campaigns. Credit where it is due for a club that has a strong sense of community identity and commitment to it.

she did make me laugh a little as she said her dog loved swimming but when she was trying to get him to jump into the pond he was avoiding it like the plague so expect a name change for him soon. -
Aggressive Dog Owner in Peckham Rye Park

Hello, she managed to upset my missus last week when she was a little rude about our dog, she told me her dog is called pladdlington because he likes to swim and he is gorgeous. I found her a little abrupt but harmless enough all part of the characters you meet when walking your dog, although i doubt my missus will ever forgive her for daring to criticise our pride and joy! -
Millwall FC did some good publicity for foodbank this week and had a collection point at yesterdays match.

Hello, someone has abandoned a Vespa in our block s car park. We had a similar episode last year with another scooter. The police have been notified via the non emergency number in case it needs tracking down or PM me if you ve had yours taken recently.

Hello does anyone know if you can still park on waterloo bridge for tonight or will the beach volleyball at Horseguards Parade have an impact on it? Thanks
-
Just in case anyone else does the trip. We did a cab on the way there as a sunday and traffic was light plus we worried the public transport may have been slow. Most of the local firms quoted around ?25 and it took ?30 mins. On the way back the plane landed at 430pm so we didnt want to do a cab in rush hour. We did the recommended overland and tube route and it was great although the overground leg from canada water was crowded. City airport is brilliant aswell its so efficient and quick to get through check in and customs, its much less hassle than gatwick or heathrow.
-
Hello, is it a pain doing the overground to city airport with a suitcase, as it says on TFL to do honor oak to canada water, then tube then the DLR. Anyone done this is or is it just easier to grab a minicab. thanks

I think you were absolutely spot on and the bloke sounds like a complete tool. I admire you for taking a stand as i hate to admit i probably would not have been so pro-active.
-
I have to spring to the defence of the counter staff i have always found them helpful especially over the last month when i lost my membership card and another time when a non member came along with me as a guest. Regarding phoning anywhere up nowadays be it a bank, insurance company, hospital its just getting a modern day pain.

ED Dog Lovers - where to go with a dog around here?
beebee replied to Curmudgeon's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The Italian on forest hill road were happy to let us sit outside in the front courtyard with our pooch and the Mag on lordship lane were great letting us eat in the front bar with her aswell. Food in both were great. -
hello, this thread is spookily topical for me, i have just been involved in a gym fit out for a professional football club and after consultation with the firm that supplied the equipment along with the club s medical team and sports science department the club decided that 20kg dumbells were suffcient. The rationale was that if the players felt they needed to increase strength beyond what the 20kg dumbells could offer then they would simply use the bar and plates to increase load. We felt that there was more essential pieces of kit needed rather than the high weight dumbells. We do not think our gym is any poorer for not having 20kg plus dumbells and we had a healthy budget for the fit out so it was not a case of penny pinching. I am sure the new fusion gym will suit the majority of peoples needs.

Local business leaving cars on residential road

With regards to the campervans being left some are on unattached trailers do these have to have permits at least? The vans and trailers do seem to have spread over the last few months he must be the slowest mechanic ever. -
The football league is definately more interesting than the prem although man city should shake things up. My picks for the championship are the clubs that have already been there for a season or two so its Ipswich, QPR, Cardiff, Sheff U and Forest as an outsider. Div 1 its those teams with budgets so Leeds, Huddersfield, Brighton(new owner), Norwich and Southampton with Millwall, MK and Charlton also in the mix i know i have named half the division there. Div 2 Notts County and Shrewsbury again because of superior finances and after that hopefully Rotherham because they have had some tough times so deserve a bit of luck now.
