  4. They were looking for their 2 for 1 vouchers
  5. Get over it. You live on a busy road with an established school already at the end of it. Many families are crying out for decent childcare within walking distance (and not having to wait 18 months for a place) The Gowlett on Amott Road probably makes more noise than a small nursery - and at more antisocial times - and I can think of a lot worse noises than young children having fun.
  6. Spoke to the Head at Fairlawn today. They are not going to have any more bulge years, she said they don't have the space for it to work.
  7. Yeah, it's on the site of the old Lucius & Richards or Grassfoods shop.
  8. Hi there, all very new to this but on their website Kingsdale state that distance to the school plays no part in securing a place. In that case is it down to a lottery or does stating that the school is your first preference play any part? I'm discounting the fact that my child would get any scholarship. also, will the change to academy status make any difference? thanks
  9. Thanks all, interesting stuff. Will speak to the schools in question.
  10. Hello, not clued up about the primary school allocation but if we lived on the aforementioned roads, what would our allocated nearest primary school be? If anyone lives on these roads or ones adjacent and has recently gone through the system I'd be gratefully to hear where your kids go to primary school. thanks

B) The Eiffel Tower will still be a few ft taller than the Shard Is it true that no buildings will be built in London higher than the Shard due to building restrictions and safety?

  20. Hello - not your area (Elephant and Castle) but any advice on who I can contact if there has been no heating for nearly a week for a block of flats and the landlord / letting agency hasn't done anything about it? There are elderly and a disabled person amongst the residents who are using electric heaters in the meantime.
