  1. Dulwich DIY and AJ Farmers do too.
  2. Hello, I have a 12 month old and also decided to stay at home for a bit longer. Took redundancy. Unfortunately I can't make Tues but if you have another meet let me know Catherine x
  3. I am in the middle of a 30 day consultation process Myself. On mat leave as well. Fun isnt it! Not Acas are good and the maternity action org have heaps of info on their site. Have they offered you a 'suitable' alternative role?
  4. Thank you. I will look into Corsica. Much appreciated
  5. Hello I know there have been various threads on holidays. I have searched and read these. Really useful however I am trying to find a family friendly villa in Europe where there is more to do than just be on a costal resort. I know it's harder once you have a baby ( ours will be nearly one in June/ July when we want to go away) but keen to find a villa where we can chill but also do some exploring of nearby places. Does anyone have any good recommendations please Many thanks Catherine
  6. It did make a difference for us. Feeding became easier. What's the disadvantage of getting it done? Takes no time to heal and the op is a 30 second procedure.
  7. Hello Also got my daughter treated at Kings. I needed two referrals. One I got in hospital when she was born and other from Peckham breast feeding cafe (Thurs am drop in) Once I was referred we had the quick procedure the week after. All very quick and easy
  8. Great one in Nunhead on Tuesdays at 7.15pm. Run by Catherine. Sorry I can't seem to find her email but it should come up if you search. Let me know if you can't find it.
  9. Thanks for all your replies. Yes Fuschia she does often wake crying. I do try to resettle her but she doesn't go back to sleep. She is yawning etc but her eyes are so alert and awake. We do seem to get good nights so I am not at my wits end I just find it frustrating for her and me as she can melt down later. I agree with you KateW. I am trying to get better at enjoying the time at home. Just difficult when you want to make plans or need to so things out and about.
  10. Hello I can't seem to get my baby (nearly 6 months) to nap for more than about 30mins in the pram. It doesn't matter at what time or whether i am on the move or stationary. 30 mins and that's that. Makes lunchtime pram naps more and more tricky. I do try to do 2 or 3 a week at home but i really don't want to be stuck at home everyday. Tried the snooze shade but it makes no difference. Any tips would be greatly appreciated Many thanks Catherine
  11. Hello Looking for some baby swimming lessons. Can anyone recommend anywhere please x Thanks Catherine

  14. Hello all I am a bit late in joining this group. I am due the 1st of August. Anyone else due around this time? I am hoping to have a homebirth but the little lady is breeched at the moment. Literally trying everything to get her to move (handstands, moxibustion, reflexology etc!) We shall see. Fingers crossed Anyway it would be great to hear or meet up with anyone due around the same time. Exciting times Cath x
  15. Hi Vch That's great news. Out of interest did you have to pay for an additional scan or did they send you for an extra one as your baby was breeched? Thankyou x
  16. Thankyou! I really want to avoid a c-section x
  17. Hello I am had my 32 week scan yesterday and looks like our baby is breeched. I realise there is still plenty of time for her to turn but I was looking at making an acupunture appointment for a few weeks time to have moxibustion. Has anyone had this done locally please. I know they do it at Dulwich Therapy Rooms. Any info/ tips welcome I have been reading about other ways to turn a baby and this looks better than lying on an ironing board!! Thanks Catherine x
  18. Hello I can't make this Saturday but would love to join you on your next meet up. I am due 1st of August x Catherine
  19. Thanks both. Yes I have spoke to my midwife and they do recomend hospital births. They can administer the antibiotics at home but they don't like too. I think we are probably going to have a hospital birth to be safe. It's something you can't risk but I just wanted to to try to avoid a hospital birth as I hear such horror stories that normally start with a person being induced - or people saying, I probably wouldn't have had x y or z if they hadn't rushed to induce me. We have also hoped to have a hypno birth. I know you still can create a calm environment in the hospital room but it is harder. Thanks again for your advice x
  20. Hello I have just found out I have strep B. I was hoping for a homebirth but that now seems unlikely. Is there anyone else that has had strep B and managed to homebirth safetly? It seems a lot of people may actually have it as they don't routinely test people and 1 in 4 woman have it Any info/ advice welcome Thanks Catherine
  21. Thanks everyone. This is really helpful. Appreciate your time x
  22. Hello This may have been discussed before but I would be grateful for any opinions on which is the better buy Thanks Catherine
  23. I have sold and brought through Haart and would recomend them or Winkworth. Bushells will value your home cheap to sell it. If I went with Bushells I would have lost a lot of money! Not sure about Peddar. I think management has changed since I was going to use them. At the time Peddar wanted to market my large one bed as a two bed! Haart are very professional and realistic Just my opinions though Thanks
  24. The noise seems to be every day. Feel liks they are ciculation for ages around 7am
