As I'm sure you've seen, there are some massive roadworks going on outside the Grove Tavern site. Does anyone have any details on what they are? Are they related to any potential refurb of the Grove Tavern site?

The skatepark has been a great use of a derelict site, but surely the point is that that site should not have been allowed (and should not continue to be allowed) to have become derelict in the first place. As someone who couldn't live much closer to the Grove Tavern, I would welcome any redevelopment efforts. The current state of the pub is untenable, wasteful and ultimately an embarrassment for the local area. The concerns mentioned about young people and the lack of public space for them to spend time are totally valid. And I agree, its very inspiring that a group of teenagers have built the skate park and created something out of nothing. But that shouldn't prevent the site being turned into something that is of utility to the whole community - whether that be housing, supermarkets or a pub/restaurant.

Great that someone is doing something with that site. Hopefully will breath a bit of life into that stretch of Lordship Lane.

Does anyone know when this work will be finished? According to the original Project Notification it was due to be finished on 5th March, but the entrance is still blocked by a gate. Really quite annoying for those of who live in the area and access the woods via that entrance

Hi there My wife and I are still registered with our old GP and want to transfer across to a local one. We both have health conditions that need to be managed/overseen and our previous GP was a bit useless, so we'd love to hear if anyone has had good experiences with the practices around us? We're based at the bottom of Lordship Lane so would be looking at practices in Forest Hill, Lordship Lane or Dulwich Village. Thanks!

Looks like there is a new opening at the Dulwich Park end of Lordship Lane, on the stretch of shops opposite the Grove Tavern. It's next to the curryhouse (Spice Republic) and called HNR. Any ideas what it could be? That stretch could do with a bit of sprucing up!

Hi there My girlfriend and I are moving to the south end of Lordship Lane near the old Grove Tavern in December. We can’t wait. We’ve read the threads about the tavern itself, but we were wondering if anyone knew of any other development plans or new openings in that part of Lordship Lane? Thanks, Seb
