  1. First of all I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your wife. You have a lot to bear, especially with young children. If you live in Herne Hill or Dulwich you would triple your access to train lines as you would have London Bridge from North Dulwich station, and Victoria from Herne Hill as well and Farringdon, City Thameslink and King’s Cross from Herne Hill. The overground at Denmark Hill is also a short bus ride away. That would get you to Canary Wharf. I think with your budget you would easily find somewhere to rent and then you can reassess after a year. I looked on Rightmove and there is a cottage on Dekker Rd which is Dulwich/East Dulwich for well under your current rent. Good luck!
  2. It’s not ED but not far away: https://www.foulshamhall.com/general-5 Family magic show today and Monday from 4-6 in Thornton Heath.
  3. I don't think that the old forum posts are accessible any more but there was a fairly long discussion on the old forum about Charter North and its support for SEN. If I remember it correctly, the general view was that there was not much.
  4. I'm looking for a new ballet school for my sons due to various unwelcome developments at their current school. Any recommendations, especially from parents of boys who do ballet, would be gratefully received. They have been doing ballet for several years now and have just passed their intermediate exams. They are no Nureyevs but they both enjoy it. I'm aware of Dulwich Ballet School and the Central School of Ballet but would love to have some personal insights.
  5. My youngest attended RHS nursery for a year when we moved into the area. I was very happy with it and it was a marked improvement on his previous nursery which was so large he was pretty much left to his own devices and the staff couldn't give me details about his day. It's been a while since he left, but my recollection is that the staff were very caring and genuinely loved being around children. A few years after he left, we were walking near the nursery and saw one of the baby room staff (so someone who never directly cared for him). She immediately stopped her phone call and swept him up in a cuddle. The outside space is good and there are plenty of opportunities for children to climb, get muddy etc.
