  1. I agree whole heartedly with SuperBerry, there's nothing that makes my blood boil more than seeing mothers looking relaxed. If they aren't wearing a look of grim forbearance at all times then they either just don't love their children, or they could love them more if they weren't so selfish. Maybe we could force them to hand in their allowance at the Police Station between Mondays and Fridays?
  2. Yeah, its been a real character assassination hasn't it, be strong though Jasmine because good will always prevail.
  3. Can you ask him to slow down as he approaches Avondale Rise?
  4. Does Holland Park have a forum?
  5. Wrong bait, everyone in the city hates them and BNP Paribas the most.
  6. Yeah, there won't be much of a cull in London because BoA are such a dollar house. They've been trying to get into the Euro Market for the last 10yrs without any real success. Snorky Completely agree about Goldmans, it would be worth being dragged back into the stone-age just to see them go under.
  7. I like the way the drivers insist on switching into rally driving mode once they hit those residential street going towards Peckham Rye. As soon as the elderly get on with their shopping at Sainsburys its foot down all the way.
  8. I like the staff at the Plough. My biggest complaint about the place is the quiz which seems geared towards people who spend their whole life watching TV and reading Grazia magazine.
  9. Anyway, we digress. I think an Adultery Pride march would be a splendid way to put an end to the blatant discrimination these people face in many countries. Where should we have the first one? Khyber or Tehran?
  10. I'm sorry Brendan, I didn't realise that thread had been flagged for compulsory attendance, poor you having no alternative but to read our endless drivel.
  11. Aren't adulterers always getting stoned to death and stuff? Seems a bit intolerant.
  12. Yeah, adulterers get a really hard time of it and you don't hear people rushing to their defense.
  13. I think its fine to use Pikey in certain contexts, eg can I pike a smoke off you, because the word had nothing to do with gypsies until fairly recently. Calling someone a chav just because of their socio-economic status is a real no-no though.
  14. Jasmine Why don't you and your neighbours join the WestDulwichForum, they're much less "Peckham" over there?
  15. Surely you mean Freya and Max, Joshua is soooo early 90's.
  16. So replacing the comprehensive schools system with Grammar schools will probably set most working-class kids back as their parents aren't going to spend hundreds of pounds on tuition fees to ensure that Jack passes the eleven+. It would, however, save some parents a fortune in school fees.
  17. errrrr, no it doesn't.....at all. There are still loads of non-fee paying Grammar Schools, you know, ones where you have to pass a test at 11 to get in. They are absolutely dominated by middle-class kids, you'll have to explain how this proves that grammar schools are great for poor kids.
  18. I went to university in the early 1990's and didn't know one "working class" kid who went to a grammar school, knew lots of middle class ones though.
  19. Can I bum one off you?
  20. This reminds me of the people who said of the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence "Well you know, he was no angel himself." That is very, very flimsy indeed. They do in Spike Lee films.
  21. Ironic in which way?
  22. Nope not at all. My initial point was that some of the outlandishness at Pride does little to increase acceptance among those have pre-existing prejudices and don't come into contact with members of the gay community on a regular basis.
  23. Look, I'm being serious, why do you think most people are homophobic? What can be done to change this?
