AS results Kingsdale

Cameron, you're spot on about the Kingsdale Management being the modern incarnation of the Nazi Regime but I fear the situation may be even worse than you suspect. Last time I was there the children were being forced to wear a sinister black uniform and when I entered a classroom all of the kids stood up in what appeared to be a strange, silent salute. I also know for a fact that certain "elite" pupils are being encouraged to learn German. How much longer can we carry on with this policy of appeasement? -

Depends how much you value your possessions as an option would be to let them get on with it and then sue them for damages.

There are only two occasions when it is acceptable for a man to cry: 1.When his dog dies. 2.When he gets hit really hard in the nuts. The rest is pure self-indulgence.

What comments about school management and southwark council? And for the record I am most certainly not the Deputy Head of Kingsdale School, what I am is a parent who has children at both Kingsdale and Goodrich School. My question (and it was only a question) was regarding the comment about how the School can better serve Southwark which, as I thought I explained, is incredibly difficult under the admission criteria given to local schools. Look at where it is on a map of the borough. Moron. -

How can they do that? Due to the location of the school any introduction of a catchment area would benefit Lewisham, Croydon, Bromley, and Lambeth more than Southwark. -

Err, possibly because he is professional enough to realise that his own beliefs come a distant second to making decisions which will benefit the school in the long-term. Anyone who knows anything about the new Academy policy realises that he had no other option than to take academy status as eventually the school would have been forced to under terms that were much less favourable than the ones offered last year. This was clearly explained to parents at various meetings he held on the subject. Perhaps he should have "martyred" the school on this issue but I for one would have criticised him had he done so as it would have been a case of letting his heart rule his head. Re David Cameron, how many schools would turn down a visit from the Prime Minister? Being a Headteacher is not primarily a political role. -

What technicalities? Not taking down the poster isn't a technicality thats just plain strange. I imagine lots of the parents and teachers would have complained about a lynch mob being on clear view at the school, unless that is they are all complicit in harrassing the poor Head Teacher. The conspiracy widens... -

Huguenot You seem to have an inside-track into this story that most other forumites don't have access to. Could you explain to the somewhat baffled Goodrich parents why this poster was not taken down by the school? It was left up for a month, long after the police and LEA were called in, and long after it was ruled as damaging to children. Could this also be construed as negligence? -

I'd cut him some slack Mick, he made that post at 03:30 and I imagine he was tired and emotional after the celebrations. Did pick up an interesting bit of info at one of the parties that I went to yesterday, that the complaint made by the Headteacher to the police had no racial element to it and was just plain old bog-standard Criminal Harrassment. Shame on so many people here for believing everything they read in the Daily Mail! -

Hear, Hear Lady Delilah! I know for a fact that these middle-class parents put the Head under a lot of pressure to segregate classes along the lines net-family-income. Apparently some pupils were to concentrate on learning how to play bridge, to mix the perfect G&T, and solve the Telegraph Cryptic Crossword, whilst others were to focus on changing car tyres, scanning grocery items, and mixing the perfect G&T. Luckily sense prevailed. -
