There is also CCTV installed by Private Organisations and Individuals All of which can be used to prevent/ or investigate crime. Plus Bus lane cameras record everything not just cars in bus lanes so its not just Southwark proving CCTV

There are statistics that show reduction in crime in areas covered by CCTV. Don't believe the nay sayers. They are right it doesn't erradicate crime but IT DOES REDUCE IT.

If you give us an idea of where you travel we can work out what cctv coverage there is. Its a good idea for an addition to the crime maps!. And CCTV does help - a bit, it displaces crime even if it doesn't reduce it so you are a bit safer.
