Recommendations for Cranial Osteopath?
kaz@263 replied to RiverSam's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi - I'd highly recommend Simon at the Vale Practice. We saw him with our little boy when he was a few weeks old. Cranial osteo really helped his colic and digestive discomfort. Simon also recommended adding infant probiotic to his feeds which also seemed to help. Good luck! -

Hi Kirsty My little boy started in early July - he's taken a while to settle & still sometimes cries when I leave him but he loves it. We're really happy with them - lovely staff, great activities and the outside space is brilliant, my little one would play out there all day long if he could! Good luck! -

Possible stray/lost small tabby cat - Marsden Road
kaz@263 replied to kaz@263's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
Hi - just an quick update. Thanks to the help of the lovely lady who is the owner of missing Twiggy, we now know that this little cat does live on Marsden Rd but sadly since her elderly owner died she won't go inside the house apart from for meals. It looks like she also has some health issues and a neighbour is due to take her to CHAT later this week. Let's hope with a thorough check-up and some medication she will be looking a bit better over the coming weeks. -

Possible stray/lost small tabby cat - Marsden Road

It's definitely not Twiggy the missing cat I'm afraid. Saw her/him again today (think she's a girl but not certain). White back legs, front paws, chest & part of face are her nose area. Managed to get a couple of photos. I'm inclined to think she's probably a stray who (hopefully) gets fed by some Marsden residents. Or as I said before, she maybe just lives there but its strange I've never seen her before til last week and since then she's been in the same spot every day. My main concern was how thin she is (which doesn't really come across in the photos) - when you stroke her you can really feel her spine, and her back legs seem quite bowed. I'm going to struggle to get her to a vets as I look after my baby full time but someone kindly PM-ed me to say they might be able to drop by and see if they could spot her. -

Has anyone else noticed the small, very thin tabby cat hanging around Marsden Road the past few days - about halfway down on the same side as the Wildlife Garden? Never noticed her before, although I know there is a black stray cat who hangs around there. Of course she could live along there and actually be fine (so I should mind my own business!) but she does look quite bedraggled like she's either a stray or lost and doesn't look to be in the best of health so just wondering if anyone knew any more about her. Thanks.

Hi all - my little boy (14mths) is due to start for 2 afternoons a week in early July so I'll let you know how he settles in. x -

I think I've seen this cat today too around Bellenden/Oxenford. Appears to be an un-neutered male. All black, green eyes, no collar, slim but looks in good condition. No collar. Very vocal and very friendly. He desperately tried to come into our house this morning (couldn't let him in as we have a male cat of our own). I hope he is just a bit lost and someone is missing him, he seems a very sweet (if noisy!) boy.

Hi There's one on a Monday morning at the Albrighton Centre (Dog Kennel Hill, in the estate opposite Sainsburys) and if you have transport there's also one on a Wednesday morning at the Rosendale Children's Centre (near Brockwell Park). There were lactation experts at both when I went. I think both start at 10am and best to get there as close to then as you can because they get very busy. Hope this helps. Kaz

Spring babies 2015 (Due March, April, May)
kaz@263 replied to Family Room Moderator's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi ladies Sorry I haven't posted for ages, but wanted to let you know that our lovely little boy, Theodore (Theo) Rhys arrived on Sunday 26th April - 15 days early - weighing 6lb10oz. He's our first so we've found the past 10 days interesting to say the least! I've taken a while to recover from the birth as I lost quite a lot of blood so am a bit anaemic. Theo has a bit of jaundice but is feeding well and is otherwise fine. We're completely smitten and of course, totally sleep-deprived! Welcome to the other new babies and good luck to those still waiting for their arrivals. Kaz x -
Hi all My husband and I have just finished our antenatal classes with Ariadna Sole (Bump, Birth and Beyond) and I can highly recommend then. Ari is a lovely, warm person who makes the classes interesting and fun. As well as being a mum herself she is also a midwife so she really does know everything! Our main reason for taking an antenatal class was to meet people in a similar situation but we also found that we both learnt so much in such a relaxed environment. In fact I was a bit disappointed when the course finished as we were enjoying it so much! If you're thinking of attending one of Ari's courses, then don't hesitate to do so! Kaz x

Sorry but I'm not going to be able to make it tonight. Have a lovely time and look forward to the next meet-up - and of course hearing of new arrivals for those who are due first! Kaz x -

Hi - hope everyone is well! We could maybe organise a meet-up for mid January so all the festive madness is out of the way, we should have a few more ladies in the gang & hopefully everyone will have nice obvious bumps by then (I still just look like I've had too much to eat)! Kaz x -

Hello I'm also expecting my first, due second week of May. It's been a very long road to get here, with some heartache along the way so we're cautiously over-the-moon and still can't believe it's real. Despite wanting to start a family for many years, I also feel a bit clueless but the benefit of having a baby after all my friends have had their children is that they can share their wisdom - and pass on their hand-me-downs! Looking forward to chatting with you Red Pebble and anyone else who joins the thread! Kaz x -
Thanks so much for all your feedback - really helpful and much appreciated. I've emailed Ariadna to book on her course!

Hi I'm expecting my first baby in early May and have been advised to get booked on to an antenatal class as soon as possible. I'm not sure whether to go for NCT East Dulwich or Ariadne Sole's Bump, Birth and Beyond classes. If anyone has any wisdom or opinions they'd be willing to share I'd be most grateful as I feel a bit clueless & overwhelmed! Thanks, K x

Hi - another recommendation for Sonja Cresswell, have only dealt with her a handful of times so far but very impressed with her work and her approach.
