  1. mako I walk the dogs every day in peckham rye park, sometimes twice a day. I know that in the winter months, very few people without dogs are there. we all want the bloody council to leave us alone.
  2. there are usually more dogs in the park than people. in the winter usually only dog people are there at all. I wonder what input that miserable bully on a bike park warden had into this. there is a man totally out of synch with his "customers".
  3. bossing the isthmian takes bucket loads of cash. that is something hamlet do not have, mid table at best
  4. I occasionally (often enough to be a statistic) walk up east dulwich grove on my way to the hospital for a blood test or summat. I have NEVER been bothered by traffic refusing to stop. the people on this forum just like to join in a complaint thread.
  5. no. today. we use the service to get to wekend trade shows
  6. from denmark hill now take 30 mins to get there. are the they now going the pretty way. it is all madness
  7. my god! not men with clipboards? walking around? there goes the neighbourhood!
  8. maybe kalamity kel wouldn't be much liked either. wha ta stupid generalisation
  9. we are getting one tomorrow and wonder if anyone on the forum can help with a basic query. until we get a charge point installed at our house, we shall have to use the public charge point round the corner, do you just plug in or do you have to use a card of some sort? any advice would be most welcome
  10. however, many other questions remain resolutely unanswered.
  11. there is a council election coming up and I believe a spot of grassroots muscular independence could make all the difference. we all love peckham rye and it is clearly up to us to make a stand for common sense. independent community action!
  12. /Users/david/Desktop/photo.JPG this is an example of what I was talking about earlier. what was the point of this appalling butchery?
  13. no one has even mentioned lord lucan in the charity shop and yet I saw him with my own three eyes
  14. if james barber thinks there is a conflict of interest, he and renata should act TODAY to put an end to this wanton abuse
  15. sorry, penguin. I had stupidly thought that thought had been employed. I have lived in southwark long enough to know how silly I was. so, yet again, james and renata... make a difference.
  16. southwark's merry band of tree butchers are back hard at work in peckham rye park hacking away and ripping down loads of mature trees. the contractor's notices say the work is being done to protect "public safety". what we are actually seeing is the destruction of beautiful mature trees, the like of which we will never see again in our lifetime. just look at the appalling totem pole they have left after ripping away at a lovely tree next to the sexby gardens. can anyone provide statistics proving the dangers involved to park users? exactly how many people, children and dogs have been killed by an errant collapsing tree? perhaps james barber or renata hamvas can explain.
  17. well, I hope you never lose your livelihood. I just thought you sounded a little spiteful. you are not compelled to go there. I never have gone there, but would not wish them ill. there is no conspiracy against you, whoever you are.
  18. uncle ben, that sounds rather spiteful
  19. funny how the authorities in se london get upset about the odd bloke with an axe
  20. quite a few. we have a shop on the lane and I nip home regularly
  21. I thought he was from new cross. anyway, rip mick. you were a great saturday afternoon villain along with jackie pallo. Jeez, how old do I sound?
  22. well done colly. picking up baftas by the handful. she formerly lived in ryedale, but has moved to bellenden. terrific actress (actor?), but might have been wiser to give mr whicher the swerve. onwards and upwards, colly!
  23. many of the regulars on here have automatically stated as fact that the female driver was driving too fast, or dangerously, or whatever. presumably they were not all there to witness this "outrage". is there, in fact, any evidence that the poor woman was to blame? silly suggestion on here, I know, but can we not stop knees from jerking just for once?
  24. yesterday at around 6.30. they were on the field bordering colyton road. was there an incicent?
  25. knock on the dolor and ask them
