  2. donald... I would feel sorry for your friend as we all have, but would have curbed an instinct to lash out in a ludicrous manner. we all concerned, so back off.
  3. millhaven is just one of those forumites who likes to appear knowledgeable, particular about the media. as one who worked in fleet street for 1000 years, I can tell him he knows precisely zippo and should zip his lip pronto. btw, I have told him this myself. worra pratt.
  4. not really two italian places, just two pizza places. there is a world of difference.
  5. so many people on, such as donaldduck, are just plain unpleasant just because they can be. this is a very nasty place sometimes.
  6. TJ, you seem to have forgotten that people enjoying themselves is a very last thing many of the po-faced forumites want. there are people out there looking for a good time... and it must stop!! now!!
  7. well, that's all right then. thought they were just idling
  8. two weeks on and the tree damage on the path round by the pond and the streams in peckham rye park is still there and the cones still up. it took nunhead cem five days to clear up much more severe damage and reopen. it might be nice if someone gave this matter a little thought. followed by action
  9. sad truth is that london is not and never will be a safe cycling city. people on radio today trying to compare it with amsterdam etc. the two cities are chalk and cheese.
  10. workmen seem to be trying to cut up the fallen tree in peckham rye park, 10 days after it blew over.
  11. more than you can say for the peckham rye park path round the pond and streams. still closed cos a tree came down in the storm. praps we could borrow the big strong lads from nunhead graveyard. come on peckham rye!
  12. my observations to james barber were merely banter. we do know each other even though we do not share political philosophy. so myob, you two.
  13. surely bonfire night is long past
  14. as an afterthought, I have often wondered why parks are locked at night. it is not difficult to find gaps in railings and lots of people can easily climb over the fences. those who intend to sleep in the park simply don't leave at lock-up time.
  15. I never ever would, james. but then I am not a lib dem with his head in the clouds. fraternally, your etc
  16. should have read stoopid! sily, in fact, stoopid me
  17. james, you are excluding the largest challenged group of all.... the incredibly stooopi!
  18. it was the quietest in east dulwich I can remember and hardly bothered our dogs at all. is it that people don't have the cash to burn any more?
  19. it is so easy for some of the people on this forum to go into a shop (or maybe pretend they have`) and then slag off the shop and the people in it. small independent retailers are having a tough time these days and the snarky brigade on here should really be more careful. I do not think any shopkeeper in LL would be rude to anyone who was not being unpleasant to them. it would make no business sense at all. just pause for thought before you ruin an reputation just because you can.

    The Patch

tallula71, you are a snooty tosser. obviously your paltry IQ is below entry requirements for guardian, a newspaper with an honourabal left of centre history. stick to the mail, luv
  21. help! help! save us from the attack of the ladybirds. just hark at yourselves.
  22. unlurked... please just bore off will you? waitrose, m&s, either is better than the slumlike iceland. we are now at the 50th page of this saga which has lasted longer than the archers. most of us want the new guys. you apparently don't, or just like arguing. please, go a w a y!
  23. the patch website is about as informative as a blank sheet of paper
  24. pc adrian crust was, and still is, our local beat bobby. sadly he has to get here from camberwell these days. I still see him round and about, but not s much as before. lordship lane is still a thriving shopping street and thieves are just as enthusiastic and devious. it is just that you have to phone up and hope someone will come back to you.
