  1. After years of useless managers, dodgy regulars and worse beer, the Ivy House on Stuart Road has miraculously come back from the dead and is well worth a visit. Over the past week or so I've had some of the tastiest real ale it's been my pleasure to sink, namely Castle Rock's Harvest Pale and St Austell Tribute, and the sunday roasts aren't half bad either. Nick, the new manager, has persuaded the Easy Come acoustic open mic night thing to return on Wednesday nights, and by all accounts it's going great guns. Anyway, I'd urge anyone reading this to get down there sometime and give Nick the support he deserves for all his hard work turning this place around
  2. A wood in Surrey sounds like far to much effort. I usually put my corpses behind the Customer Services desk at Sainsbury's where they never get noticed - except for the one who was promoted to checkout supervisor.
  3. Hi, We've notice a marked rise in the number of house flies barging into our abode and generally making a nuisance of themselves. We like to think we keep the place pretty clean, so I'm assuming it's just the time of year and 'one of those things'. Is anyone else playing reluctant host to these blighters and has anyone got any tips on what to do about getting shot of them. I've spent the past couple of nights hunting with a can of Raid, and while this was initially strangely enjoyable, the novelty has worn off. Any general titbits about their life cycles and preferred habitats might also be useful, cheers Matt
  4. Found a frog in the garden the other day. Freaked out my cat, Marmite. Saw a dead fox on the pavement in Peckham
  5. I see it's under new management - again. Has there been a refurb? Please tell me the gold lam? curtains are still there
