We've just bought bikes and I wondered if anyone can share any nice rides from the area with any hidden or less known shortcuts, cycle routes etc. We'd love to take the bikes out for a day or half a day and imagine we could get quite far but I don't know where to start. Any routes, ideas very much appreciated. Thanks,Tim

Trying to not let this swing my vote, but there has been a constant barrage of leaflets from the lib dems through our letter box. lib dems - if your reading this, one word: unnecessary -
I play 5-a-side in Brixton and we are short of two players tonight for 7.30pm kick-off. PM if you fancy a run around!

Going to sound like a work for them, but actually just a satisfied customer. I sold me car after joining as it was significantly more cost-effective to use Street Car. Also the cars are always in good shape and can be rented for as little as half an hour. Thats ?2.50 to pick up the shopping on a saturday. I have to say availability has been pretty poor recently so I'm feeling grateful that there are more cars to service the area. Longer trips include unlimited petrol/diesel (up to fair use limit of 200 miles a day) after that they charge quite a scary amount per mile. A word of warning though, I got a street car for a journey up north for a two day trip which didn't qualify for unlimited petrol. The petrol cost came in at something silly like an extra ?120 when it would have only cost ?30 to fill it up. That said, I really do recommend street car for short journeys. -

Just spotted another 5/6 cars 'coming soon' in East Dulwich for Street Car. I've been using these guys for nearly 2 years and it's a great asset for the area. Good to see they are doing well. -
you don't have to believe it Sue, I don't think anyone minds if you don't nor does it change anyone else's experiences of what happened! Hope you're not loosing any sleep over this one ;-)

I think you should fine them, ?120 which will be reduced to ?60 if they pay within 14 working days...Southwark council are the first to point the finger when someone does something to annoy them. -

On a previous holiday, whilst my partner and I were getting our airport transfers we bumped into another couple who commented how little they paid for their trip. It was something like 70% less and this was because they did it last minute whereas we booked about 7 months before. With this in mind we are going to do a last minute this year, has anyone got experience of the best way to do this? I know some websites have last minute deals say 2 weeks before, but we're going to live on the edge this year and leave it until a day or two before. Can you just turn up at the airport, or are there websites? Any advice helpful!
