The biggest by far & I go to lots is Pedham Place Farm, google SMB Events for details. Its on every Sunday off the A2, Brands Hatch Junction. Hayes Farm is every second Sunday & is quite big too. There is another at Flamingo Park on the A2 which starts later but it's not very big. If you're going to go to Pedham go on the day Hayes isn't on as all the Hayes sellers will be there. Happy car booting!

I've to a wasps nest in the shed if u need one?

I'm afraid it's not my decision ultimately Fl0wer but I'll speak to the tenants & explain. Thanks Kidkruger someone did tell me someone was looking for them which is why I've posted but I can't find the thread.

Any one on here remove wasps nests? One in the shed. I don't live at the house it's tenanted and the tenants would like it removed. Has anyone had this done locally please?

Why is it pompous to say my children have not been raised in fear, the assumption on this thread is that if adults are afraid then children are generally scared of big dogs and that is what I responded to in the thread above mine, not some random bonkers rambling about my "kiddies". Perhaps you assume my children are all young and are not living proof of this theory...the eldest is 28, the youngest 11 so I feel I have the benefit of hindsight. My children HAVE been brought up to love and respect others and I know they would not dismiss another person's point of view or life experience as "utter tripe" simply because it's different to theirs. I actually am a regular member of the same running club as the author of the original post, I know all about running in the park and I will most likely know these runners so I do genuinely sympathise but I also know lots of very good, responsible dog owners and lots of "scary looking dogs" who are wonderful family pets and I am simply trying to be balanced in my view. Tony Quinn I suggest you read the thread fully and be sure you are fully informed before you rant, in actual fact TerriG makes clear the dog DID NOT attack her partner, the humans allegedly did... I'm done with this now so my last word is for Tony Quinn " Wow you wake up REALLY angry at 8:11am don't you, you might wanna work on that!" Now you can call me pompous...

As a runner, mother & dog owner my children would not be afraid of what is perceived on this thread to be a "scary dog." They have not been raised in fear...they have been raised to love & respect all life forms whether human or animal...and to share our space with them! I'm sorry to hear about your partner & I hope he is ok. As a runner I don't always see what is in front of me, small child, human, bike, dog etc. & I don't think my right to run in the park is any greater than a dogs...peace x

No...after I had decided, I researched and got the correct breed for my lifestyle. I went to a reputable breeder, checked that it wasn't a puppy farm, met the Mother & bought my beautiful little Nancy. The second one was rehomed with me, he had loads of issues (not disimilar to Bobby who recently appeared on Paul O' Grady, Battersea programme.)In fact the day I brought him home he tried to bite my son. I spent a lot of time socialising him, trainig him and treating him like a dog! I never gave up, he had entropian (where the euelashes grow inward) and required surgery and I had him neutered. If my eyelashes were constantly poking in my eye and I couldn't get them out I'd probably be irritated enough to snap...in fact I can snap if my mascara goes in my eye...that is "chihuahua owner stereotype" joke, by the way! Suffice as to say right now he's adorable although we still have some learning to do but as I type he's happily sitting in his bed, covered in eau de fox poo, after a long walk and a sly roll! Oh yeah and both dogs adore each other.

Your missing something...common sense! In reply to "all dogs should be muzzled etc or am I missing something etc." Oh for goodness sake people... I used to hate and I mean HATE dogs, couldn't see the point & thought dog owners were ridiculous people with too much time on their hands, flea ridden houses,dirty duvets, tacky pictures, hairs in their food and a drab, dull existence... I'm a mother of two, I work full-time, I have a fabulous, interesting, diverse family and a wonderful busy life... For some reason that I cannot fathom...I got a dog! I now have two dogs, I cannot tell you the joy they bring me, I've have gone from being "one of you dog haters" to defending these incredible creatures to the max! I get really fed up with these rants, my dogs are well socialised, trained, chihuahuas and no they don't yap or bite everyone in sight (I heard that stereotype before you thought it!) I come across people every day in the park who sadly discourage their children from looking at the dog and instil irrational fear into them and I also meet some fantastic, well rounded, parents who actively encourage and educate their children on how to correctly approach and appreciate an animal. I wish I'd have done that with my family years ago. My message..."Who told YOU that your superior to another crearure? It's never too late to learn!" x

I was forwarded this message from my running club. I don't want to start a debate or anything, I just want to let other runners know. Just be aware and be sensible, remove your headphones if you're in isolated areas, my running club has a "no headphone" policy even in groups. We have been informed by the park management of the below "There was an assault on a female jogger in Dulwich Park yesterday (21st) by Roseberry lodge. It happened around 2.30 pm. The Lady was dragged towards the bushes by Lordship Lane estate. Luckily she put up a fight and got away. The attacker ran off, possibly leaving via Fireman's alley or court Lane" Whilst we do not want to frighten any of you we thought it appropriate to let you all know and to remind you that whenever possible always run with another person especially when running round the joggers loop or through the forest adjacent to Cox's walk
