I have noticed the rubbish there by the bin by the gate, for a few days now, well done for reporting it, lazy gits -
I never liked him he always made my skin crawl, I think maybe the women need some sort of closure, from whats been said for example on vanessa's radio show, he was a powerful, influentual man, maybe they were frightened and the thought of know one believing them etc. I know you can't judge a book by its cover, but I really wanna say, why are we surprised ;)

I am obviously a dog lover, I work with dogs and have the best job ever ;) What we have to remember is, there are around 9 million dogs in this country, when something bad happens with 2 dogs like on the forum, all the rest of the 8 million 999998 (probably written wrong!) dogs are tarred with the same brush :/ You can't put all dogs in the same category. Dogs are good for us. All the dog haters out there, I hope if you ever need a dog to help you out, like a Police dog, a search and rescue dog, a guide dog, a hearing dog for deaf people, a dog that can tell you when you are about to have a seizure, a cancer detection dog, drug dogs, dogs for the disabled, a Pets As Therapy dog, guard dog, good all round companion etc etc, I hope that you don't really hate all dogs, they do a lot of good and we only seem to hear about the bad things that happen, what a shame :( My dogs need to be allowed social time off lead, to meet there friends in the park and have a bit of fun, sniffing, licking each other etc etc. A Border Collie for example never allowed offlead or having to wear a muzzle so they can't play with a ball, well then you've got trouble.

Spooner, I totally agree ALL dogs should be ON lead in the street, its cocky to presume they won't see a cat/squirrel/dog and run after it and cause an accident, then the owner if caught will/can be sued. My dogs are insured for this and health things, but mine are not ever off lead in the street. In the park, yes, all dogs need a run and play for there well being and health, but not on the street.

StephG I am so sorry about Gatwick :( am gutted for you and him xxxxx

Love it! Lilyhammer that is. My husband has just downloaded every episode of Northern Exposure :/ I liked it but won't bother watching it again ;)

Top Banana, welcome to the forum :)Not ALL dogs need to be muzzled But its not rocket science that something has to be done to keep these owners in line, bring back the dog license and with the revenue, employ dog wardens and make it the law that all dogs should be kept on a lead on the street, road etc,(Not in parks, they need to be allowed to run, frolic, play) muzzles not needed.

pommie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > i agree with you bonniebird although dogs being > left off the lead in the park is not necessarily > safe as they can attack other dogs too (as in a > previous thread) They can pommie and its one of my worst nightmares :( but, an unsocialised un excersised dog can lead to all sorts of problems and its not fair on those of us and our dogs, who have taken the time to choose a breed that suits there lifestyle, take the dog training, socialisation classes, walk the dog everyday, ideally twice offlead etc etc. I wish that people would research the breeds, train them, walk them, socialise them, I wish there was a dog license to pay for dog wardens (who understand dogs and actually like dogs)and I wish that it was compulsary to attend The Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme, I wish people wouldn't buy Huskies/Border Collies/Spaniels etc who are mean't to be used for working and then not walk them at all :( Dogs are so intelligent, beautiful and loyal and we need to respect that. Unfortunately, we live in a throw away society, if it don't work out, dump it, starve it, use it as a breeding or fighting machine. A well trained dog is a joy and can totally enrich our lives, just a shame we don't do them justice.

A bloody good reason for all dogs to be kept onlead walking on the street/housing estate/road where there are cats, other dogs, cars etc. Dogs should only be allowed offlead in the park where its safe. Its a bug bear of mine too, very cocky I think when I see it. Poor little cat :( gutted

Not all Rotties are unstable landellsrd, my friends Rottie is absolutely wonderfull, with everyone, I have never seen or heard of her doing anything wrong. When I lived at home years ago, we had a Rottie bitch across the road from mum and dads and the local kids used to knock for her to come out to play, she was a fantastic dog, wish I could remember her name! Chloe I think :) Its sometimes due to there upbringing, these 2 I know have been walked, socialised and treated nicely by there owners, please don't judge them all to be unstable. -
There used to be a team of older people who bowled there regularly until the new hut got burnt down, they had to wait for a new hut to be built and the insurance etc to go through, they never really came back :( shame

Yeah I read that too Penguin68, the doc asked me if I had changed any powders etc, I haven't. Yes my torso was covered well, it started on the right side of my body, I thought I had a bite, I do hang my washing in the garden weather permitting, no caterpillars in clothing, not even seen them in the garden, yes it is maddening, I was scared in case I had shingles! :( Thanks for your comments, I hope they work too, the steroid cream has made the itch subside a little, the anti histamines are strong and she said will make me tired, joy! I have always been very allergic to insect bites etc so could be anything I guess. Thanks again!

Yes Epaderm to be applied twice daily, Betamethasone valerate twice daily, prednisolone four a day and chlorphenamine 4 times a day

I got a very very red itchy rash last night, drove me mad, mostly on my torso but spread to my arms and legs and neck by this morning. I got an emergency appointment and the doc says I have had a very severe reaction to something, she is thinking this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-17907874 I walked in Nunhead Cemetary yesterday with the dogs, so if you are allergic to things like insect bite etc, be careful
